Perfume lily, namely oriental lily, is one of the ten most popular flowers in the world today. Because of its beautiful flower shape, bright color and fragrance, it is an ideal material for making gift bouquets, flower baskets and artistic flower arrangements. Since China's reform and opening up, rapid development, especially in recent years, due to China's rapid increase in the amount of flowers, its planting area has been expanding, perfume lily has become an indispensable species of flowers, the cultivation techniques are introduced as follows

I. Land selection, bed finishing and disinfection

(i) Land selection

Perfume 100 water because of the rapid degradation of the ball, strict requirements for the cultivation environment, suitable for planting areas are difficult to find, so the choice of planting land is also the most important, perfume lily likes cold, humid climate, semi-shady environment, soil requirements deep soil layer, loose and good drainage contains rich humus slightly acidic soil.

(ii) Ridge finishing

The ridge surface is generally 1 - 1.2 meters wide, 25-30 cm high, and the groove width between the ridges is 40 cm. 1 - 1.3 tons of humus or pig manure was applied to each simple greenhouse (30 m x 7.5 m) before the whole plot, 2 kg of carbofuran or phoxim (used to kill underground pests) was sprinkled, the soil was watered and thoroughly mixed.

(iii) Disinfection

Because perfume lily is extremely susceptible to stem rot, blight, leaf blight and gray mold, it should be mainly prevented, first from the soil to close. There are two common methods: steam disinfection and chemical disinfection

1. Steam disinfection is to bury the heat-resistant plastic tube with small holes 30 cm below the ridge surface, cover the ridge surface with a film, and then send in steam to continue fumigation for 1 hour.

2, chemical disinfection-generally with 40% formalin prepared into 1:50 solution poured into the wine bed surface, the amount of 25 to 30 kg, after the wine is finished, covered with plastic film for 2 days, and then uncovered the film to dry for 10 days, until the medicine gas is completely dispersed before planting.

II. Cultivation Management

(1) Treatment of seed balls

Before planting, pick up the seed ball from the seed ball box, handle it gently to prevent the bud from breaking, check the quality of the seed ball, remove unqualified seed balls such as bud fracture or rot, scale or base plate rot, and soak the seed ball in 500 - 800 times solution of methyl thiophanate or chlorothalonil, carbendazim, etc. for 15-20 minutes.

(ii) Planting time

In order to flower on Spring Festival and Valentine's Day, it should be planted in mid-October and early November, and it should be planted before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m.

(iii) Density and depth of planting

Generally, the plant spacing is 10 - 15 cm, and the row spacing is 15 - 18 cm; the depth of planting is about 6 - 8 cm above the bud point. After planting, a layer of chaff and deciduous leaves should be covered on the surface, and the shade net should be covered, and the water should be poured thoroughly.

(iv) Labelling and recording

After planting, labels should be made, and specifications and planting dates should be indicated. Two hygrometers should be hung in each greenhouse, one in the shed head and one in the shed, and a record book should be prepared. Observe the hygrometer three times a day and make records.

Note: It is forbidden to pour fertilizer on the leaves. If the fertilizer is not carefully poured on the leaves, wash them with water quickly to avoid burning the leaves and affecting the quality.

(v) Temperature management

The maximum temperature should not exceed 30C, and the minimum temperature should not be lower than 5 C. The optimum soil temperature is between 12C and 15C. If it is higher than 18C or lower than 10C, it will be harmful to roots. After rooting, the temperature can be increased. It can be kept at 18 - 2C in the daytime and 12 - 18C at night. If it is too high in the daytime, it will reduce the height of plants, reduce the number of buds per flower, and produce a large number of young flowers. If the temperature is lower than 12C at night, it will lead to bud drop or leaf yellowing, and reduce the ornamental value.

(vi) Light management

The flower bud development of perfume lily especially needs sufficient light conditions, but too high temperature will burn the leaves and reduce the viewing effect.
