The reporter learned at a press briefing held by the State Grain Administration on the 9th that this year, Jiangsu, Hubei, Anhui, Henan, Shandong and Hebei provinces all launched plans for the lowest purchase price of wheat. Anhui, Jiangxi, Hunan, and Hubei provinces launched the lowest purchase price plan for early indica rice. In addition, Xinjiang also launched the acquisition of national temporary storage wheat.

According to reports, the purchase of wheat and early indica rice has decreased this year compared with the same period last year, mainly due to more imperfect grains of wheat due to continuous overcast and rain during harvest in some areas.

The purchase of autumn grain is the highlight of grain purchase throughout the year. At present, autumn grain acquisition preparations are basically ready, and are being carried out one after another. The acquisition of mid-late indica rice has got off to a good start. New mid-late indica rice in southern China has been put on the market. Anhui, Sichuan and Hubei provinces have launched plans for the implementation of the lowest purchase price for mid-late indica rice. According to statistics, as of September 30, Jiangsu and other six major producing areas had purchased a total of 2.9 billion jin of medium and late indica rice, an increase of 800 million jin over the same period last year. The acquisition of corn reserves this year will begin on November 1.
