Apples are common fruits in daily life. when we go to the fruit supermarket to buy them, we will find that some of them are very expensive and some are very cheap. what's going on? it has something to do with the grading of apples. So, how to distinguish the grades of apples?

Apple has three main grades, and the criteria are as follows:

First-class apple: the shape of the fruit is correct and the pedicel is complete. The Marshal series requires more than 90% coloring and more than 70% of other fruits. The diameter of large fruit is not lower than that of 65mm, and that of medium fruit is not lower than 60mm. Minor bruises are allowed in the red variety, with a total area not exceeding 1cm ², a maximum area not exceeding 0.5cm ², and a yellow variety no more than 0.5cm ², and there is no other damage.

Second-level apple: the Marshal series requires 70% coloring and 50% other fruits. Damage shall not exceed two items (crush injury not exceeding 1cm ², and maximum place not exceeding 0.5cm ²; leaf and branch abrasion not exceeding 1cm ²; Golden crown rust not exceeding 3cm ²; Water rust, fly spot disease not exceeding 1cm ²; 2 unbroken hail injuries allowed with a total area not exceeding 0.5cm ²; sunburn area of red varieties not exceeding 1.5cm ², and sunburn area of yellow varieties not exceeding 1 ²). No stab wound, skin injury, disease, insect injury, atrophy, frostbite, tumor, black branch grinding.

Third-level Apple: the Marshal series requires 50% coloring and 40% other fruits. The damage shall not exceed three items (crush injury not exceeding 1cm ², maximum place not exceeding 0.5cm ²; branch and leaf abrasion not exceeding 1cm ²; golden crown reticular rust area not exceeding 1x8 of fruit face, and rust area of shoulder not more than 1cm ²; water rust and fly spot area not exceeding 1cm ²; chemical damage not exceeding 1x10; minor hail injury area not exceeding 1cm ²; sunburn not exceeding 1.5cm ²; and other dry insect injuries permitted in 3 places, each area not exceeding 0.03cm ². There are no more than 5 minor defects. There shall be no stab wounds, skin wounds, heart-eating insect injuries, healed areas larger than 0.03cm ²other insect injuries, diseases, atrophy, frostbite.
