Lettuce is one of the vegetables that are often eaten in life. Its appearance is a little similar to lettuce, but it is a mini type. Lettuce tastes very refreshing, whether it is cold or stir-fried or hot pot, it has its unique taste. Let's take a look at the introduction of lettuce cultivation management technology.

1. Sowing time of lettuce

Lettuce likes cold climate, so sowing time is generally spring and autumn two seasons, spring generally in February to April to start sowing, May to June can be harvested, and autumn sowing can start sowing at the end of August, September to October can be harvested, because different varieties of lettuce characteristics are different, in the selection of sowing time, to first understand the description of the lettuce seeds bought, and then combine the above sowing time for sowing. Spring and summer season suitable for sowing loose leaf lettuce (such as cream lettuce, color leaf lettuce), more heat-resistant, autumn and winter season suitable for sowing head lettuce (also known as West lettuce), heat-resistant.

2. Fertilization and soil preparation

Before soil preparation, remove the residual branches, leaves, roots and plastic film of the previous crop. 5000- 6000kg decomposed organic fertilizer, 50kg three-element compound and 50kg quicklime are applied per mu, evenly spread, deeply turned by 20cm, raked and leveled, and ridged. Cultivation of heading lettuce requires ridging and mulching.

3. Planting

Before planting seedlings, water the seedlings to moisten the seedbed so that they can be planted with soil lumps. Take soil as much as possible when seedling, less damage roots. The planting spacing shall be determined according to the variety requirements, the planting depth shall be buried flat with the soil in the root zone, and the planting holes shall be buried tightly with soil around, so that the seedling root lumps shall be closely connected with the soil. Water immediately after planting. After the ground is slightly dry, it should be shallowly hoe once in time to preserve moisture and improve ground temperature.

When planting, pay attention to the weather conditions, cloudy days, cold air comes, rain and snow days do not plant, and so on after the weather improves, winter sunny morning planting, summer afternoon or the sun is fast setting planting, in case of summer high temperature scalding seedlings and leaves.

4. Post-planting management

After planting, the humidity temperature in the greenhouse can be slightly higher before seedling retardation, the temperature in the day is 20℃-25℃, and the temperature in the night is 10℃-15℃. After seedling retardation, the temperature can be appropriately reduced, 18℃-22℃ in the day and 10℃-15℃ at night. The harvest period is a delayed supply time, and the temperature is controlled at 15℃ during the day and 5℃-10℃ at night.

After 10-15 days of planting and slow seedling of loose-leaf lettuce, topdressing is carried out in combination with watering, and urea is added 10kg per mu. After topdressing and watering, weeding and loosening should be carried out in time to prevent soil hardening and maintain soil permeability. Later, depending on the growth and weather conditions, timely topdressing and watering, keep the soil dry and wet, strengthen ventilation, control air humidity, so as to avoid diseases.

After heading lettuce, top dressing and watering are the same as loose leaf lettuce. When the heart leaves begin to embrace, ternary compound fertilizer should be applied, 15-20kg fertilizer per mu, combined with watering, and then topdressing and watering according to the growth situation. The fertilizer is mainly ternary compound fertilizer, and the appropriate combination of irrigation and fertilization. After each watering must pay attention to weeding loose soil, maintain soil permeability. Stop watering 5 days before harvest to avoid disease.

5, pest control

The main diseases of lettuce cultivated in greenhouse were downy mildew, brown rot and soft rot.
