Apple bagging can reduce pesticide residues, avoid fruit surface pollution, prevent diseases and insects from invading, keep the fruit surface smooth and promote apple coloring. If the bagging measures fail, the fruit black spot disease, microcracks, fruit rust and low commodity rate will lead to poor orchard efficiency. Therefore, it is necessary to master key technologies and supporting measures. What time do you usually choose for apple bagging? What are the methods?

When do you usually choose Apple bagging?

When determining the bagging time of apples, the best bagging time should be selected according to different regions and different apple varieties. If the bagging is too early, the young fruit is prone to fruit drop and sunburn; bagging too late, the fruit lenticels are easy to large, the surface is rough, the apple is not completely green, the color is slow after picking the bag, which affects the later color. Therefore, bagging should integrate a variety of factors to determine the accurate bagging time. The following is the suitable bagging time in Shaanxi apple growing area:

1. Yellowish green varieties

In order to prevent fruit rust and keep the fruit surface smooth, bagging began 10-15 days after falling flowers.

2. Early maturing red varieties

It should be about 30 days after falling flowers, that is, the end of May and the beginning of June. For varieties with heavy physiological fruit drop, bagging should be done after the end of physiological fruit drop.

3. Late-maturing red varieties

Bagging began 35-40 days after flowering. That is, it is most appropriate to start bagging from June 5 to 10 and end by June 20, and finish it by early July at the latest. Because the fruit drop in June has come to an end, the advantages and disadvantages of the fruit are obvious, and the degree of Lignification of the fruit stalk and the aging degree of the pericarp are increased, which is not easy to hurt the fruit.

Bagging can be carried out from morning dew to evening. However, when the weather is clear, the temperature is high, and the sun is strong, it is appropriate to use 8: 00 in the morning and 30 in the afternoon to prevent sunburn. It should be noted that when the dew is not dry in the morning, do not bag, otherwise the calyx end of the fruit is prone to spots. Because the dew usually has a certain acidity, it will increase the solubility of the solution on the fruit surface, resulting in necrotic phenomenon of pericarp poisoning. Similarly, the liquid can not be bagged before it is dry after spraying, and it can not be bagged when it rains.

Second, what are the methods of bagging apples?

1. Sterilize and kill insects before bagging

Sterilize and kill insects thoroughly before bagging, and pay attention to protecting the leaves. The period from flowering to bagging is a sensitive period for fruit disease. Ring disease, anthrax, mildew heart disease and so on are easy to invade the fruit in this period, latent but not sent, therefore, we must spray medicine and fertilizer regularly.

2. Strict fruit thinning

When setting the fruit, leave one fruit every 20-25cm, keep the central fruit, the fruit with long national stalk, remove the stunted and injured fruit, and strictly control the amount of fruit left.

3. Supplement calcium before bagging

As the bagged apple has been in a dark and humid microenvironment for a long time, its ability to absorb calcium is particularly poor, so it is necessary to spray calcium at least 2-3 times before bagging.

4. Bagging technology should be standardized.

Select the quality of the fruit bag before bagging, and operate strictly in accordance with the bagging technical regulations, seal strictly, do not stick to the young fruit, etc., so as not to cause roughness, fruit rust and sunburn inside.

5. Pay attention to the overall level of the orchard

Wind disaster has a great impact on bagging apples. It is suggested that fruit growers in mountainous areas should pay attention to two points when bagging: first, multiple paper bags should be set in low-lying orchards and windy mountain orchards; second, there should be multiple film bags on the windward side and upper part of the crown of each fruit tree, and more paper bags should be set on the leeward side of the crown and the lower part and inner chamber of the crown.
