Yellow Cymbidium is a common flower potted plant, which has a large market in our country. And the use of yellow orchid is very extensive, not only has ornamental value, but also is widely used in spices, building materials and other industries. Therefore, with the continuous expansion of the demand for its planting area, the yield requirements are getting higher and higher. So what are the breeding methods of Huang Yilan? Let's take a look at it with the editor.

1. Grafting propagation

Grafting propagation is one of the most commonly used propagation methods of Yellow Cymbidium. First of all, choose 5 mm Magnolia magnolia as the rootstock, and then sit down the cultivation of rootstocks to improve the survival rate of grafting. Then the branches of about one year old were selected as scions on the mother plant. Then obliquely cut the graft interface on the rootstock to ensure that the cut is smooth enough. Then cut a cut on the scion of the same size as the rootstock and wrap it in a grafting membrane to prevent water seepage and affect the healing of the interface. Then it is necessary to do a good job of management to ensure that the soil is moist and prevent direct sunlight.

2. Striping propagation

Striping reproduction should be carried out before the ambush. First of all, the tender branches with normal development, no wound and no diseases and insect pests are selected, and the length is controlled at about 1.8 cm. Then dig a small trench at the base of the plant, cut the branches around, and be careful not to hurt the xylem. Then smear an appropriate amount of rooting agent at the ring cutting area to promote rooting. Then wrap the wet soil around the ring, wrap it with a plastic film and tie it tightly. The main thing is to ensure that the soil is moist enough that it will take root around May of the following year under normal management.

3. Sowing and reproduction

Magnolia can also be propagated by sowing and reproduction. The seeds are harvested every year after maturity, and when the seeds are found to be gradually cracking and the color turns red, it represents the gradual maturity of the seeds. The seeds are then stored in sand and sown in the following spring. When sowing, we should pay attention to do a good job of disinfection and germination, so as to improve the germination rate and survival rate of seeds. It begins to germinate about 4 weeks after sowing, but it may take about two months for longer germination time. When the seedlings grow up to about 10 cm and 5 true leaves, the transplanting time should be carried out when the temperature is suitable in the evening.

The above is a brief introduction to the breeding methods of Cymbidium. It is not suitable to use cuttage propagation, because the survival rate of cuttage is very low. We should choose reasonable breeding methods according to our own conditions, culture environment and other actual conditions. This is the end of today's introduction, this article is for reference only, I hope it can be helpful to everyone!
