Sun flowers can be sown in spring, summer and autumn, but due to the great difference in climate between the south and the north, most of the seeds are sown in the middle of April and the average temperature in the north is about 18 degrees. It can sprout after sowing for 5 or 7 days. When sowing, select loose, fertile and well-permeable sandy loam and compost soil to sow seeds, then spread the seeds evenly on the soil, cover the thin soil, and put it in a bright light place.

Sunflower planting method:

1. Sowing seeds

Spread the seeds evenly in the soil, keep the temperature above 20 degrees, and germinate in about 10 days.

2. Separate planting of seedlings.

When the seedling grows to a certain height, it can be planted separately. If you want soil culture, the plant does not need to carry soil when it is planted, and it does not need to be watered frequently during the growing period. And control the row spacing of the plant, apply liquid fertilizer several times during the period, and remember that when its fruit is about to crack, the seeds need to be harvested in time, otherwise it will be scattered. If it is potted, it is the same method as soil culture.

3. Watering

Watering depends on the situation of the basin soil. Generally speaking, if it is not dry, it does not need to be watered. If it is watered, it will be thoroughly watered at one time.

4. Correct fertilization

It does not have a high demand for fertilizer, so it is good to apply potassium dihydrogen phosphate once a month, so that its flowers are big and colorful, and the flowering period is longer.

5. Lighting

It likes sunny places very much, so it must bask in the sun when it grows, so that it can flourish.

6. Temperature

It likes warm places, and the best temperature for germination is 21 to 24 degrees, so that seedlings can grow in about a week or so.

The above is the introduction of when to sow sunflowers. I hope it will be helpful to you.
