When will Shandong apples ripen?

Most of Shandong apples mature in September-October. Different varieties have different maturity times. For example, Red Fuji apple ripens in mid-late October, Gala apple ripens in late August to early September, Red General apple ripens in mid-September, Golden Crown apple ripens in mid-late September, and Guoguang apple ripens in late October to early November.

1. Red Fuji: It is a late-maturing variety, with flat and pile-shaped fruit shape, yellow-green background color of pericarp, red or red fruit noodles, yellow-white flesh, fine flesh, large hardness, rich juice, fragrant taste, high sugar content, moderate sour and sweet, and good storage and transportation resistance.

2. Gala: native to new Zealand, belongs to medium-ripe variety, fruit short conical shape, fruit surface background golden yellow, sunny surface with light blush, red intermittent wide stripes, pale yellow flesh, crisp meat, juice, sweet and slightly sour taste, good quality.

3. Red General: introduced from Japan, belonging to medium-mature varieties, the appearance is very similar to that of traditional Chinese red Fuji, but the cold resistance, disease resistance and drought resistance are better than red Fuji; the flesh is yellow-white, slightly looser than red Fuji, sweet and crisp, fragrant and thin and juicy skin.
