Choose a place suitable for rose growth to build a garden, disinfect the soil before planting, mainly steam disinfection, apply 20 cm thick farm manure, ploughing. Fertilization can be divided into two times, respectively at the end of autumn and after flowering, combined with deep turning, solid filling and watering. Pruning is mainly sparse pruning, supplemented by short cut, for the weak growth of roses, can be re-pruned to promote the growth of new branches.

1. Establishment and planting of the garden

Choose a place suitable for rose growth to build a garden, regardless of mountain areas or plains, do not plant on sticky and heavy water. Soil disinfection should be carried out before planting, mainly by steam disinfection, which should be turned deeply for many times to avoid drug damage affecting the development of plant roots. Then apply 20 cm thick farm manure for ploughing. The planting row spacing is 2-2.5 meters and the plant spacing is 1-1.5 meters. The plant row spacing can be increased appropriately in the plain.

2. Watering and fertilizing

Fertilization can be divided into two times, one at the end of autumn, combined with deep ploughing, 3000-3300 kg of farm manure per mu, and 5-25 kg of diammonium phosphate or other compound fertilizer per mu after flowering. Watering should follow the principle of dry and wet, and keep the soil slightly moist.

3. Pruning in time

Pruning should be carried out according to plant age, growth status, fertilizer and water and management conditions, and the principle of thinning mainly and cutting short should be adopted, so that the old branches are not old, many branches are not dense, ventilated and transparent. The old branches of more than 5 years should be thinned in time to support the growth of new branches. For roses whose growth is weak and basically lose their ability to blossom, they can be re-cut and promote the growth of new branches.
