How to plant Angelica sinensis

1. Soil

2. Sowing seeds

Angelica picked its ripe fruit before and after the Beginning of Summer, dried it naturally in a cool and dry place as seeds, and planted it best between late May and early June of the following year.

Seeds are scattered evenly on the surface of the soil, which needs to be covered with a layer of soil with a thickness of about five millimeters. After germination, if there are weeds growing around, it is necessary to clean them up in time, and it is best to pull them out directly by hand. When pulling out, be careful not to hurt the new buds; if the new buds are too tight, pull out the extra new buds.

3. Transplant

From the seed sowing land, it takes about 110 days to dig up angelica seedlings from the ground, digging them gently so as not to hurt their roots, and about 90 seedlings can be tied up and brought back for storage. Stored seedlings are best stored in a cool and dry place for about half a month.

After half a month or so, Angelica seedlings will be transplanted to about 2500 meters above sea level, and the soil surface should be flat. In planting, it is necessary to grasp its spacing and should not be too dense. The planting depth should not exceed 5cm, and weeding during the growing period should prevent damage to its roots. The use of herbicides or pesticides is prohibited. During this period, attention should be paid to soil drought and waterlogging, irrigation and drainage. Apply appropriate amount of fertilizer.

Relatively weak, unhealthy and overgrown seedlings should be pulled out at the beginning of June. Prevent the normal growth of other seedlings from being affected. Angelica sinensis is suitable to be harvested in the middle and late October.
