Coriander cultivation includes variety selection, cultivation, water and fertilizer management and pest control. You can choose open field or greenhouse cultivation. Among them, open field planting can be carried out in spring, autumn and winter, while greenhouse planting can be directly broadcast from September to October.

The technical details of coriander cultivation are as follows:

1. Variety selection

Shandong area is suitable for planting Shandong big leaf coriander, Beijing suburb is suitable for Beijing coriander, Shanghai City suburb is suitable for planting white flower coriander. Different regions should choose the most suitable planting varieties according to the local planting environment.

2. cultivation

For home planting, rub open the outer skin of the coriander seeds to be sown, then scatter the treated coriander seeds evenly in the pot soil, and then cover with a thin layer of soil. Basically, in about a week, coriander will basically sprout.

If it is planted in the open field, it should choose a plot with loose soil, rich organic matter and convenient irrigation. After the harvest of the previous crop, the soil should be turned in time, 15-20 cm deep, weathered and sun-dried for more than 2 weeks, and then 4000-5000 kg of decomposed high-quality farm manure and 10-15 kg of compound fertilizer should be applied per mu as base fertilizer. After ploughing, the ridge surface should be 140-150 cm wide and 20-25 cm high. The length depends on the length of the plot. The ditch width is 30-40 cm. It doubles as a sidewalk. Ridge surface requires fine, loose and smooth soil.

3. water and fertilizer management

When most of the coriander seedlings are successful, the grass should be removed in time, but in summer, it is still necessary to do a good job of shading and cooling. When the seedlings are full, water is usually watered once a week, but the specific frequency depends on growth conditions and surrounding weather changes. When the seedlings grow to a certain height, they need to start topdressing, topdressing can use urea and boron fertilizer, in the mature stage of growth can add a little potassium dihydrogen phosphate, conducive to the improvement of yield.

4. pest control

Attention should be paid to the occurrence of diseases such as sclerotinia sclerotiorum, root rot, powdery mildew, leaf blight and spot blight, and preventive work should be done in advance. The disease of the plant timely use of chemicals, serious disease should be immediately removed and destroyed.
