First of all, select sloping land and slightly shady plots as cultivation plots, and then plant ginger with thick, light yellow, glossy rhizomes without scars of diseases and insect pests. Then open holes in the cultivated land, pour dung water in the holes, heat preservation and accelerate sprouting of ginger, cut into small pieces, and retain 1-2 strong buds in each piece. Finally, put a piece of ginger in the hole, cover the fine soil and wait for the seedlings to emerge.

1. Select the place

Choose sloping land and slightly shady land, and the soil should be from sandy soil with deep, loose, fertile and well-drained soil to heavy soil. Open holes in the plot, row distance 40cm × 30cm, deep 13-17cm.

2. Seed selection

Choose thick, light yellow, shiny, no disease and insect scars of the rhizome as ginger. Heat up and sprout the ginger, then cut it into small pieces, each keeping 1-2 strong buds.

3. Sowing seeds

Seeds are sown in the south from January to April and in the north in May. First pour dung water in the hole, wait for the dung water to permeate the soil and put a piece of ginger, then cover the fine soil and wait for seedlings to emerge. If a missing plant is found after emergence, it should be replanted in time.

4. Management

In the whole year, there are 3-4 times of weeding and 4 times of topdressing, mainly organic fertilizer and compound fertilizer; there should be no shortage of water during the growth period, watering and moisturizing should be done in time when there is drought, and watering should be stopped 10 days before harvest.
