Build the bed: set up the bed with wood, straw, plastic film, iron wire and red brick. Cultivation management: selecting garlic seeds, arranging soaking seeds and watering appropriate amount according to temperature changes to control the temperature in the greenhouse. Timely harvest: harvest can be arranged when the garlic seedlings grow to a height of 30-35 cm.

Planting technique of garlic in greenhouse

First, build a bed

The bed is set up with wood, straw, plastic film, iron wire and red brick. Spread a layer of plastic film on each layer, cover it with sand loam 5 to 6 centimeters thick, and pat the soil solid. In the process of setting up the bed, it must be buried and tied up to prevent the bed from collapsing.

II. Cultivation and management methods

Select garlic species: select varieties with large petals, high yield, short dormancy period, emergence and fast growth.

Preparation before sowing: soak the garlic seeds in warm water of 30 ℃ ~ 50 ℃ for about 30 hours to make the garlic absorb and expand. Then remove the drained water and pile it up for about 12 hours, and then dig out the garlic stalks. If the sowing area is large and the soaking amount is large, it can also be sowed one week in advance without digging the stem.

Place garlic to press the soil: about 15 kilograms of garlic cloves are buried every 1 square meter, the tighter the better between the cloves and the cloves, and the larger gap is filled with smaller cloves. After the garlic cloves are set, cover them with fine sand and pat them 3 centimeters thick.

How to grow garlic in greenhouse and the method of planting garlic in greenhouse

Water management: watering garlic seedlings with water at a temperature of not less than 15 ℃, pouring heavy water after cultivation to the early growth stage, reclaimed water in the middle stage with a height of about 15 cm, and small water in the late growth stage 3-4 days before harvest. The frequency of watering depends on the dryness and wetness of the soil on the bed.

Temperature control: it is necessary to keep the film surface of the greenhouse clean and improve the light transmittance so as to obtain more light time. The temperature requirement of setting up the bed is 24 ℃ ~ 26 ℃ in daytime and 20 ℃ ~ 22 ℃ at night, 22 ℃ ~ 24 ℃ in daytime and 18 ℃ ~ 22 ℃ at night, seedling height is about 15 cm, 16 ℃ ~ 22 ℃ in daytime, 16 ℃ ~ 18 ℃ at night, 18 ℃ in daytime and 12 ℃ at night.

Timely harvest: when the garlic seedlings grow to a height of about 35 cm and the leaves tilt slightly, it is the right time for harvest and should be harvested in time. After the first harvest of garlic seedlings, using the same management method mentioned above, new garlic seedlings can grow after 20 days. When the new garlic seedlings grow to about 30cm, they can be harvested and sold again. With this circular management and harvest, 3-4 crops can be harvested continuously.
