I. planting methods

When planting dahlias, it is recommended to sprout the root tuber first, so that its bud points can be clearly shown. After sprouting, there are two cases, one is that the new buds can be cut directly, and the original bulbs can be replanted so that they can be propagated. In addition, the larger tuber roots can be divided and then planted, or they can be planted directly after budding.

Second, growth conditions

1. There should be enough space for vegetative growth, because the underground part of the dahlia is relatively large, so the flowerpot should be at least more than 20cm when planting, and the planting hole in the case of ground planting should also be more than 20cm.

2. The bulb of Dahlia is afraid of waterlogging, so the soil used must be a loose, fertile and well-drained sandy loam to prevent it from waterlogging during its growth.

Loose, fertile, sandy loam with good drainage.

3. Before sprouting, it is best to soak its tuber roots with fungicides to avoid wound infection caused by bacteria. Generally speaking, the temperature we give to the germ is stable above 15 degrees.

4. Dahlia needs a long time of light in the process of cultivation, so it is necessary to put it in a sunny environment after root germination in order to make it grow stronger.
