The progress of the national autumn harvest is faster than that of the previous period. It is expected that in the next three days, most of the country will be dominated by fine weather, which is suitable for autumn harvest and autumn planting. However, there is a continuous deviation of soil moisture in the southern part of North China and the northern part of Huang-Huai River, and there is more overcast and rainy weather in the south of southwest China.

At present, the national autumn harvest area has exceeded 60%, including Henan harvest, Hebei harvest 95%, Shandong harvest 93%, Yunnan harvest 70%, Gansu harvest 68%, Shaanxi harvest 67%, Shanxi harvest 64%, Jilin harvest 51%, Heilongjiang harvest 50%, Jiangxi harvest 27%, Hunan harvest 10%. According to the agricultural situation regulation of the Ministry of Agriculture, as of October 12, 64 percent of the country's autumn grain had been harvested, which was 3.7 percentage points slower than the same period last year, with 62 percent of medium rice (first-cropping rice), 71 percent of corn and 74 percent of soybeans. The main reason for the slow progress of autumn harvest is the postponement of frost period and fine weather in Northeast China, which is conducive to the timely and late harvest of corn and rice. at present, the autumn harvest has been completed by 55%, 11 percentage points slower than the same period last year.

The sowing progress of winter wheat and rape was slightly faster than that of the same period last year. Most of the northern winter wheat areas have entered the sowing stage, and winter wheat has emerged in the southeast of Northwest China, the southwest and north of North China, and Shandong Peninsula. Among them, 96% have been sown in Gansu, 69% in Hebei, 62% in Shandong, 60% in Shanxi, 48% in Shaanxi, 38% in Henan and 21% in Anhui. Rapeseed in the eastern part of southwest China, the north of Jiangnan, Jianghan and Jianghuai are in the stage of sowing and emergence. According to the agricultural situation regulation of the Ministry of Agriculture, as of October 12, 39% of winter wheat and 37% of winter rape had been sown across the country, 2 percentage points faster than the same period last year.

From October 10 to 13, most of the northwest, North China and Huang-Huai are mainly fine weather, and most of the soil moisture in the wheat area is more suitable for autumn harvest, while there is light rain in Northeast China, which has a slight impact on the autumn harvest. The weather is fine in most parts of the Yangtze River basin, which is conducive to autumn harvest and rape sowing and emergence. The southern part of southwest China has more overcast and rainy weather, which has a certain impact on the autumn harvest. There is cold dew wind in the north of South China and heavy precipitation in the south, which is disadvantageous to the late rice from heading and flowering to the early stage of grain filling.

According to the Central Meteorological Observatory, from October 14 to 16, the eastern part of Northwest China, North China, Huang-Huai, eastern Inner Mongolia and Northeast China will be dominated by fine weather, which is conducive to the harvest and drying of autumn crops. The soil moisture in the eastern part of Northwest China, the eastern and southwestern part of North China and most of Huang-Huai wheat area is good, which is beneficial to the sowing and emergence of winter wheat, but the continuous deviation of soil moisture in the south of North China and the north of Huang-Huai is not conducive to the sowing and emergence of winter wheat. There will be light to moderate rain in the northern part of Xinjiang, which is not conducive to winter wheat sowing.

The weather in Jianghuai, Jianghan, eastern Jiangnan and eastern South China is fine, which is conducive to autumn harvest and rape sowing and emergence. From the 14th to the 16th, the southern part of the southwest is dominated by overcast and rainy weather, which is disadvantageous to the crop harvest and drying; on the 14th, there will be light to moderate rain in Hainan, which will have a certain impact on the mature harvest of late rice.

Experts suggest that the northern region should seize the fine weather, speed up the progress of autumn harvest, and do a good job in threshing, drying, ventilation and storage, so as to achieve the return of particles to the warehouse. As the northern winter wheat area has entered the stage of large-scale sowing, all localities should pay close attention to soil preparation and sow winter wheat in time according to soil moisture, so as to ensure the sowing quality.

Jianghuai and the eastern part of the south of the Yangtze River seized the fine weather and harvested the mature crops in time, while the south of southwest China seized the interval of precipitation to step up the autumn harvest. Rapeseed producing areas in the Yangtze River Basin should sow direct seeding rape timely, and the sown areas should do a good job in field water and fertilizer management to promote the steady growth of seedlings.
