The harvest is best when the cotyledons are spreading, green, the epicotyl is purplish red and white near the root.

1. Environmental requirements

The suitable temperature for buckwheat sprout growth is 20-25 ℃. It should be cultivated in solar greenhouse or free house in winter, early spring and late autumn. When the external temperature reaches about 20 ℃, it can be produced in open field, but we should pay attention to shade and rain protection. In order to make the bud

As the vegetables are fresh and tender, the soil and air humidity should be properly increased.

2. Facility selection

The cultivation rack is made of angle iron, steel bar or bamboo and wood material. In order to facilitate the operation, the shelf height is about 1.6m, with 3-5 layers in the middle, and the spacing between each layer is 50cm. Plastic products are better for seedling plates, and paper types with large water absorption and low price are selected for production paper.

3. Seed selection

In order to ensure the yield and improve the product quality, large and full buckwheat seeds should be selected, and attention should be paid to the removal of empty seeds, shrunken grains, grass seeds and so on.

4. Soaking seeds to accelerate germination

First soak the seeds in 20 ℃ water for 22-24 hours to ensure that the seeds fully absorb water. In order to improve the sturdiness and commercial value of buckwheat buds, a small amount of stem expansion agent and gibberellin can be added to warm water to promote the thickening and growth of buckwheat sprouts. Then the seeds were removed and washed into a container and germinated at a constant temperature of 22-25 ℃ for about 24 hours. when the buds were 1-2mm long, they were ready to sow.

5. Sowing seeds

Take a clean seedling plate, cover the bottom with 1-2 layers of white paper, and spray water without dripping. Spread the germination seeds evenly on the wet paper with a density of 0.08g/m2. After sowing, stack the seedling plates together, cover them with black plastic film and place them in a 22-25 ℃ environment to promote germination. 3-4 days later, when the embryo bud grew about 2cm, the seedling disc began to go on the shelf and grew in light.

6. Cultivation and management

During the period of buckwheat bud growth, it is the key to maintain the humidity of seedling plate and the relative humidity of air. 5-6 days after sowing, the length of seed bud is 5-6cm and the stem diameter is about 1.2mm, but the seed shell has not fallen off at this time, so we should pay attention to regular water spraying. Spray once every 5-6 hours when the temperature is 15 ℃, and every 8-12 hours when the temperature is above 15 ℃, to keep the seedling plate neither stagnant nor dry, so as to promote the rapid shedding of the seed shell and expand the cotyledons as soon as possible.

7. Timely harvest

10-12 days after sowing, the Hypocotyl of the seed bud is about 12cm, the cotyledons are spreading green, the epicotyl is purplish red, and the harvest is best when the Hypocotyl is white near the root.
