Asparagus, also known as cloud bamboo, mountain grass, thorn winter, is a highly ornamental green leaf plant, their elegant shape, light branches and leaves, very quiet, very suitable for display in the study, living room, there is an elegant, quiet atmosphere. Now many people like to raise a few pots of asparagus, but there are often a variety of situations, such as yellow leaves, wilting and so on, so how can potted asparagus grow well? Let's take a look at it together.

1. Adequate fertilizer

If asparagus wants to grow well, it must first have sufficient nutrients. If there are not enough nutrients, it is easy to lack fertilizer in the root system, which makes the whole asparagus grow thin or grow very slowly. Therefore, in spring and autumn, it is necessary to increase the number of fertilization according to the growth status of asparagus, usually once a month, but the fertilization should not be too thick, less and thinner as far as possible, so as not to burn roots. For example, fermenting rice water is a good choice for fertilization.

Second, watering on time

If the soil of potted asparagus is dry for a long time, it is easy to cause the leaves of asparagus to turn yellow or grow too slowly, or even lead to the death of the whole asparagus if the drought persists. In addition, air humidity also has a great influence on the growth of asparagus. Therefore, when the basin soil is dry, it is necessary to start watering, remember not to pour water, otherwise there will be stagnant water in the roots. If the summer temperature is high and the air is relatively dry, you can spray some water around the leaves and plants, so that the leaves can cool down, increase the humidity of the air, and grow better naturally.

In winter, we should not only water less, but also fertilize less. Because potted asparagus is not a growing season in winter, as long as its life can be maintained. So you only need to keep the temperature no less than five degrees Celsius in winter to survive.

Third, change the basin soil in time

If asparagus potted plants have been cultivated for 1-2 years and have not changed the soil in time to avoid laziness at the beginning, they are very hard-knot.

Soil, and the soil is not fertile, it is easy to appear poor growth, thin plants, yellow leaves. Therefore, it is best to change the soil once a year for potted asparagus which has been cultivated for two years.

If you change the basin, you have to decide according to the situation of the root system. If you have a lot of roots, you have to cut off some of the old ones, and if you don't have many roots, you can directly take the soil and change the pot. Remember not to hurt the roots, or it will be difficult to survive. Flowerpot as far as possible to choose a higher depth, so that the growth of the root system has a certain space, pot soil to choose more fertile.

4. Proper lighting

Potted asparagus does not like to be exposed and exposed directly in the sun, but it will not work if it is in the dark without light for a long time, so that the leaves will turn yellow and grow slowly. Astigmatism can generally grow well in places where there is astigmatism.
