At the national meeting on standardized scale breeding of livestock and poultry and comprehensive utilization of manure, Yu Kangzhen pointed out that in recent years, the Ministry of Agriculture has continuously promoted standardized scale breeding and achieved remarkable results in the development of animal husbandry, and the level of scale, equipment and production have been significantly improved. But at the same time, the problem of environmental pollution caused by livestock and poultry breeding has become more and more prominent, which has become an important factor restricting the sustainable development of animal husbandry.

Yu Kangzhen stressed: in the next step, we should go all out to do a good job in six key tasks. It is necessary to adjust and optimize the production layout of animal husbandry, continuously promote standardized large-scale breeding, explore and improve breeding technology and manure treatment technology, strengthen pilot demonstration and guidance, strengthen policy support, and innovate working methods.
