Planting technique of Karen grape

It is appropriate to choose sandy loam soil with deep, fertile, loose soil and good drainage and irrigation. It can be planted at the beginning of February in spring or at the end of October in autumn, with sufficient basal fertilizer and 1m*3m planting according to row spacing. After planting, it can be watered and covered with plastic film. It should be watered in the dry season, and the young trees planted in the same year need to be fertilized 3-4 times. Sprouting, core removal, tendrils removal and pruning should be carried out properly. In order to control diseases and insect pests, stone-sulfur mixture should be sprayed once before sprouting.

Karen grape is another new seedless grape variety introduced in California after Hongti grape. It was introduced to China by the New Grape Variety Project of the Ministry of Agriculture in 1997. This variety has conical ear, neat and compact fruit, slightly longer ellipse, bright color, bright frost, light red pulp, hard pulp and crisp flesh.

Kroensheng grape has strong stress resistance, and the popular diseases in China, such as downy mildew, white rot, anthracnose and powdery mildew, are very resistant to storage and transportation. It began to mature in the middle of September and could be retained on the plant for 2 months after maturation. The ear without diseases and insect pests could be stored until New Year's Day and Spring Festival under natural conditions.
