When planting peanuts in the south, we should pay attention to the sowing time, and generally wait for the soil temperature to rise before sowing. When selecting seeds, avoid diseased seeds, so that it is easier to sprout. Planting density can be carried out according to the distance between 20cm per plant, sufficient amount of base fertilizer is applied, and watering times are determined according to growth.

Planting techniques of Peanut in South China

1. Time

Because peanuts cannot grow normally with high temperature and little rain, and high temperature and heavy rain will cause newly formed peanuts to sprout, which will affect the yield of peanuts, so the best planting time is from the end of March to mid-April. We must pay attention to it.

2. Seeds

Before planting, we need to bask the peanut seeds in the sun, which can play the role of sterilization, and at the same time, we can mix the seeds with chemicals under certain conditions, so as to enhance the resistance of the plants, and then we can sow the seeds after all the treatment.

3. Soil

When selecting soil, we should pay attention to planting in the loose soil with high content of organic matter and good drainage. Although the soil of peanut planting land is relatively loose, sandy land is usually not considered, because of its poor water storage capacity, peanuts are easy to die.

4. Density

Planting density is best according to the distance between each row of 30 cm, the distance between each plant is about 20 cm progressive sowing, which can not only make full use of the land, but also improve the fruit rate, thus increasing the yield of peanuts.

5. Fertilizer and water

At the beginning, it is best to apply enough base fertilizer, and secondly, if there are not enough nutrients, it is best to top fertilize in the early stage of peanut growth, so as to reduce its effect on peanuts. Peanuts generally do not need to be watered, natural rainfall is enough for peanuts to grow, and drainage is needed when necessary.
