Cut: cut off the upper part of the rootstock 3 cm from the ground, cut the scion into 5-6 cm long, cut down into duckbill shape on both sides of the outer side of the lower bud, open a 3 cm interface on one side of the rootstock, and insert the scion into the rootstock incision. Bud grafting: cross cut at 1 cm above scion bud, then cut flat from below to below, peel off wood inside cortex, cut cross at 5 cm from rootstock to soil surface, cut downward from incision, insert scion into "D" character cortex.

cutting grafting

Cut with more than one or two years old rootstock, in late March (in the cold room) or early April (in the open field), 3-5 cm from the ground will be cut off the upper part of the rootstock. Scion uses annual robust branches, cut into 5-6 cm long, leaving at least 3 buds. The outer sides of the lowest bud taper downward into a duckbill shape. A 3 cm long joint is opened on one side of the rootstock. The scion is inserted into the cut of the rootstock so that the two form a close bond, and then bound with plastic film tape. Or use polyester tape to hold it tight. Finally, cover the scion with a small plastic bag, and bind the bag mouth below the interface, which can be inspected frequently through the film. After surviving, remove the binding.

bud grafting

Bud grafting in August to September, generally with "T"-shaped grafting method. First in the scion bud 1 - 1.5 cm above the transverse knife, and then from the bud 1 cm below the forward lower flat cut, will be cut off the bud's cortex internal wood gently stripped (in recent years there are slightly with woody bud) containing population. Cut the rootstock 5 cm away from the soil surface, cut it downward from the center of the incision, and then gently peel off the cortex, and insert the prepared scion into the cortex of the "D" opening. The buds should be attached, the upper end should be closely combined with the upper end of the rootstock "D" mouth, and finally tied with plastic film strips or polyester tape. After a week, check the survival situation, if the petiole touches that is, the bud is green and full, that is, survival. In the spring of the following year, the top of the rootstock will be cut off from 5-6 cm upward from the interface, the scion will germinate quickly, and then pay attention to cutting the rootstock bud. When changing pots or planting in pots, it can be planted deeply downward appropriately, so that the interface will drop as much as possible, and it will be bound according to the growth to form a beautiful shape.

Preparation of basin soil

Mix 1/3 of chaff ash with 2/3 of river mud, add human excrement and mix well, expose to sunlight, and sift for later use. The bottom of the basin is padded with tiles and stones to facilitate drainage. Then it is filled with coarser soil, and then plum piles are planted to bury the soil and compact the roots.

watering time

It is not suitable for watering when the pot is placed; watering once after 3~4 days; watering once a day after 7~10 days; watering once a day after survival; watering 1~2 times a day between 5~8 months. The soil should not be too wet and should not be flooded.

fertilization

Plum blossom does not like big fertilizer, when the new shoots grow to about 5 cm, can apply a thin broken bone sesame sauce fertilizer water, promote the growth of strong branches. When putting leaves, fertilizer and water should be sufficient. Generally, thin liquid fertilizer should be applied once a month to promote flourishing branches and leaves. When the branches grow to 20-25 cm, they should control fertilizer and water. Apply topdressing twice in late summer and early autumn to promote flower bud differentiation. Every time after fertilization should pay attention to timely watering and loosening, in order to keep the pot soil loose, conducive to root development.

Temperature, light

Plum blossoms prefer sunny and well-ventilated environments and are not resistant to long-term shade. Only when sufficient light is given to enable it to obtain conditions for photosynthesis can it obtain sufficient nutrition, thus growing strong and opening bright flowers.
