Common wheat diseases are root rot, leaf rust and powdery mildew. Leaf rust is generally the main disease of wheat development, usually occurring in May. Powdery mildew and root rot mainly occurred in wheat fields with heavy rainfall and high field humidity. Common pests are aphids, midges and wheat spiders. Aphids generally appear after the wheat turns green, midges appear in the middle and late April, and wheat spiders mainly occur in March and April.

Wheat diseases and insect pests are mainly prevention-oriented, common prevention methods are as follows:

1. Timely drainage: wheat should do a good job of drainage, reducing stagnant water in tillage layer is the main target to prevent wheat moisture damage. Especially in winter and spring when the rain is frequent, we must ensure that there is no water in the wheat.

2. Fertilizer increase: for wheat fields with heavy moisture damage, relay fertilizer should be applied early and skillfully, and jointing and booting fertilizer should be applied again to promote seedling upgrading with fertilizer. In winter, more heat organic fertilizer should be applied.

3. Leaf protection and disease prevention: timely spray after rust, scab and powdery mildew occur. In addition,"802" can be sprayed, plant stress resistance and yield increasing agent, Jiamu bumper harvest liquid fertilizer, Huimanfeng, Cufengbao, Wanjiabao, etc. It can also be sprayed with 10ml of "Plant Power 2003" to 10L of clear water, once every 7~10 days, and continuously sprayed twice. It is recommended to apply Duode rare earth pure nutrient, spraying 20~30L of clear water every 50g, and the effect is good.

4. Selection of disease-resistant varieties: artificially cultivated high-quality wheat can be selected. In areas with frequent serious diseases, the resistance requirements for varieties should be higher, and in general disease areas, they can be lower.

The control effect of wheat diseases and insect pests is better at the initial stage, if most of the leaves, stems and ears of the whole plant are infected, spraying basically has no effect.
