Chrysanthemum is one of the top ten famous flowers in China, the flowers are delicate and beautiful but not vulgar, and are deeply loved by ancient and modern literati. What should we do if we want to grow chrysanthemums at home?

There are mainly two ways of planting chrysanthemum: seed planting and cutting planting.

I. seed planting

The main results are as follows: 1. Before planting, the seeds are treated by accelerating germination to improve the germination rate of seeds. Generally, the seeds are mixed with wet sand, put in the culture soil and covered with a layer of 1cm sand, keep the temperature at about 10 ℃ ~ 25 ℃, often spray water to keep the soil moist, and germinate after about 3 weeks.

2. The germinated plants were transplanted and planted in the soil. Press the roots and seedlings into the soil after planting, do not be too deep, keep it at about 3-4 cm, and control the temperature at about 20 ℃ after watering.

3. When the plant grows to 10-12cm, it picks the heart for the first time, and when it grows 6 flowers, it picks the heart for the second time.

4. After planting, it is necessary to ensure that the basic fertilizer in the basin is sufficient. Nitrogen fertilizer is applied every 10 days during the growth period. During the budding period after the beginning of autumn, concentrated fertilizer and water can be applied once a week. After bud formation, liquid fertilizer can be applied once without fertilization, and it is best to spray a small amount of superphosphate properly.

2. Cutting planting

1. Choose a well-growing chrysanthemum, cut off a stout branch with about 10cm length as cuttings, retain the upper leaves, and remove the residual flowers and excess leaves. The lower end of the branch can be cut with an oblique mouth of 45 °.

3. Generally choose the soil with more nutrients, and you can also use the mixture of river sand, peat soil and perlite to mix the cutting medium. Keep the medium soil moist. Insert the selected branches and compact them.

4. after compacting the branches, pour a small amount of water, sprinkle the branches, and then put them in a ventilated and cool place to root.

5. After the leaf buds of the upper part grow out, the light can be treated properly, but the strong light should not be directed directly.

6. After taking root and surviving, it can be transplanted.

The planting method of chrysanthemum is briefly introduced here, hoping to provide help to friends who are interested in chrysanthemum planting.
