Phalaenopsis is a flower shaped like a butterfly, its colors are yellow red spots, red dots, red lines, pure yellow, white flowers, red hearts and so on. So, how to raise Phalaenopsis? The following is to introduce its breeding methods or maintenance knowledge.

1. Matrix

Phalaenopsis is an epiphytic orchid, with aerial roots attached to rocks or tree trunks to grow, do not choose simple topsoil or garden soil, can choose water moss, bark, fern roots, broken bricks, coconut shell, fiber, ceramsite as the matrix is better, the PH value is about 6.5.

2. Temperature

Phalaenopsis likes to be warm and afraid of cold, and the temperature should not exceed 30 ℃. If the temperature is less than 10 ℃, it will stop growing, and below 5 ℃, it is easy to die. Heat when the temperature is low and cool when the temperature is high. It doesn't like strong light, so it can be maintained in a place with astigmatism.

3. Watering

Phalaenopsis likes the humid environment, the humidity is more than 90% in the growth stage, 70% and 80% in the flowering stage, and about 50% after flowering. Water every day when the temperature is high, as long as the soil has a certain amount of moisture when the temperature is low. When watering, you should pay attention to the alternation of dry and wet, and wait for the plant to dry before watering. If it is found that the leaves are soft and sagging after watering, try to increase the air humidity.

4. Fertilization

Phalaenopsis likes fertilizer and applies a thin layer of fertilizer every month during the growing period. the fertilizer is mainly nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, supplemented by magnesium, calcium, manganese and other trace element fertilizer. Keep air convection when fertilizing, so as not to soak the root circle for too long, resulting in asphyxiation. If the root circle is too wet, do not apply fertilizer.

5. Diseases and insect pests

The common diseases of Phalaenopsis are soft rot, brown spot, anthracnose, bituminous coal disease, virus disease, insect pests, red spiders and so on.

The above is the breeding method or conservation knowledge of Phalaenopsis. I hope it will be useful to you.
