Patchouli is generally planted in spring and autumn every year, and it is most suitable for March-April and September-October. You can choose sandy loam and control the temperature at 18-25 degrees. Usually, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers are mainly added, and watering depends on the growth situation.

Planting time and method of patchouli

1. Temperature:

Generally, the annual average temperature of planting Huoxiang should reach about 1926 degrees. The temperature suitable for the growth of Huoxiang is 15-25 degrees Celsius, and the temperature of the planting site should be kept between 20-25 degrees at the time of emergence.

2. Water and fertilizer management:

When fertilizing, it is necessary to combine watering and ploughing, which is conducive to the absorption of nutrients, while maintaining the moisture of the soil and maintaining the water supply needed for the normal life of the plant. Finally, we should pay attention to timely drainage when there is more rainfall to prevent flood hazards.

3. Plant density:

In general, if you sow seeds in spring, the sowing rate per mu is generally 500 to 800 grams, while in autumn, the sowing rate per mu is 500 grams to 600 grams. From the above sowing rate, we can see that the density of sowing in autumn will be higher than that in spring. The row spacing of spring sowing is generally between 25~30cm, while that of autumn sowing is generally between 30~35cm.
