The overall quality and safety level of agricultural products was stable in the third quarter.
From July to September 2015, the Ministry of Agriculture organized routine monitoring of the quality and safety of national agricultural products in the third quarter (risk monitoring). A total of 84 varieties and 94 parameters of vegetables, fruits, livestock and poultry products and aquatic products were monitored in 152 large and medium-sized cities in 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), and 11315 samples were sampled, with an overall qualified rate of 97.7%. Among them, the qualified rates of vegetables, fruits, livestock and poultry products and aquatic products were 97.0%, 98.9%, 99.3% and 95.0% respectively, and the overall quality and safety level of agricultural products was stable.
The Ministry of Agriculture has reported the monitoring results to various localities and supervised the provinces (autonomous regions) with low qualified rates, requiring them to follow up and carry out spot checks on the quality and safety of agricultural products, investigate and deal with substandard products and their production units in accordance with the law, and carry out in-depth special rectification actions such as the use of pesticides and pesticides, "clenbuterol", aquaculture antibiotics, aquatic products, agricultural materials and so on. We will severely investigate and crack down on vegetable production, illegal addition and illegal use of drugs in livestock, poultry and aquaculture, so as to ensure the quality and safety of agricultural products.
