Purple back cabbage, also known as red chicken, is more common in our life. It is a kind of plant for both medicine and food, which is planted in the south of China. Medicine mainly for hemoptysis, dysmenorrhea, etc.; roots to relieve thirst and summer heat; Ye Jianwei to relieve cough. Laver, which has many benefits, how to grow it? The planting techniques of Laver are introduced below.

I. selection of land and land preparation

Before planting Laver, choose a piece of hillside woodland with deep soil layer, loose and fertile soil and rich humus. When planting the seedbed, we should also choose the deep, loose and fertile sandy soil, first plough it once, and do the seedbed in the high bed. The height of the border should be between 15-20 cm, the width should be 1.2-1.5 m, and the length should be determined according to the scale of raising seedlings.

II. Methods of reproduction

There are two propagation methods of porphyra yezoensis: split-root propagation and cutting propagation. Split-root propagation should dig out the roots of Laver, cut them into several separate roots, plant them on a prepared seedbed according to a certain density, and water them appropriately. After a period of time, it will grow new plants. Cuttage propagation should be in the case of good growth of porphyra yezoensis, cut off the branches with strong growth, no disease and about 10 cm long as cuttings, keep 2-3 leaves in the upper part of the cuttings, and cut the lower part into a wedge. First use a small stick to insert a small hole in the nursery bed, then insert the cuttings into the hole, press the soil, so that the cuttings can be in full contact with the soil, and the cuttings can be watered once after cutting. generally, they can take root after one month.

III. Transplanting and planting

The soil of the planting site should be the same as that of the seedling site. Then turn the soil about 35 cm deep, apply 4000-5000 kg of rotten farm manure and 100-150kg of plant ash per mu, and then make a high bed according to the topography after fertilization. Dig holes in the border according to the row spacing of 15 × 25 cm or 18 × 30 cm, transplant one plant in each hole, be careful not to damage the roots of other seaweed, and pour enough fixed root water after transplanting to improve the survival rate.

IV. Field management

Weeding should be done once after planting to avoid weeds competing with plants for nutrition and water. Intertillage is needed after each harvest, after watering and after rain, so as to maintain the air permeability of the soil and promote plant growth. At the same time, the soil should be cultivated in time to avoid plant lodging. Appropriate amount of topdressing should be applied after planting to speed up the growth rate of plants.

Laver is a kind of Compositae plant with special fragrance and unique flavor. After reading the introduction of the method of cultivating Laver, I hope it will be helpful to you.
