Because Selaginella officinalis is resistant to barren, its requirements for soil environment can be met by mixing soil or garden soil and fine sand at the ratio of 1:4.

2. Temperature

As Selaginella likes to be warm, it is more appropriate to keep its growth environment at about 20 ℃. When the temperature is high in summer, we should not only avoid direct sunlight, but also spray more water to keep moisture and cool down; when the temperature is too low in winter, especially when it is as low as 0 ℃, we should take timely measures to prevent cold and keep warm.

Selaginella officinalis is very low dependent on fertilizer and relatively resistant to barren, so it does not need to be fertilized during the period of maintenance and management. You can usually keep topdressing every half a month.

5. Watering

Selaginella officinalis has a strong drought tolerance, in addition to the growing period in order to maintain germination and growth need to pour a lot of water to keep the basin soil moist, other stages tend to require less water. Therefore, in order to moisturize Selaginella officinalis, you can spray more water for it, especially in summer, but it is not suitable to pour cold water with lower temperature when the weather is too hot.

6. Change the basin

Selaginella officinalis can be planted in a shallow basin, but it still needs to be changed in time after a long time.
