Canker disease is one of the most common diseases of Wokang. It damages young shoots, leaves and immature fruits. It usually leads to deciduous leaves, dropped fruits and even withered shoots, reducing tree vigor. So what are the prevention and treatment methods for citrus ulcer disease? In fact, there are three main methods, namely agricultural control, chemical control and physical control.

I. Agricultural control

1. Regionalization of variety layout to avoid mixed planting of different varieties. Mixed planting of different varieties resulted in non-uniformity of shoot period and extension of susceptible period of orchard.

2. Control summer shoots. In orchards where the disease is extremely serious, young trees are cut off in summer and only spring and autumn shoots are left. Clear the garden first and then shoot.

3. Clean the countryside and reduce infection pathogens. Winter pruning, cutting off disease, insects, weak branches to reduce infection sources; serious cases can be directly pruned diseased branches and leaves.

4. Control pests and diseases. Leaf-miner moth, leaf insect damage often provides favorable conditions for the spread and invasion of pathogens, so timely control of these pests can alleviate the disease.

II. Chemical control

1. Flowering prevention. Spray Bordeaux mixture (copper sulfate, lime, water ratio of 0.5: 1: 100) before flowering and after flowering. In summer and autumn shoot period, spray Bordeaux mixture twice per shoot (copper sulfate, lime and water ratio is 0.5: 1.5: 100).

2. Extreme weather prevention. Spraying before and after encountering strong wind and heavy rain is often ineffective, otherwise spraying after pathogen invasion is often ineffective.

2. For young trees and seedlings, shoot protection is the main method, spraying once every 20~30 days after the germination of new shoots (or when the new shoots are 1.5 cm long) and when the leaves are just turning green, and spraying once every 7~10 days in summer shoots; for adult trees, fruit protection is the main method, spraying once every 10, 30 and 50 days after flowering.

3. Drugs used in the early stages of the disease. Copper hydroxide, basic copper sulfate, thiazole copper, copper acetate, copper oxychloride, kasugamycin, quinoline copper·kasugamycin, thiazole zinc, etc. must be used alternately.

III. Physical control

1. planting windbreaks to stop the spread of the virus.

2. Cover with plastic film (shelter from wind and rain) to keep out viruses

3. Mineral oil and agricultural adjuvant were used to protect shoots from infection.

It is best to prevent and treat citrus ulcer disease in the early stage of the disease. Do not let it cover a large area before treatment. At this time, it may be too late, which will affect its healthy growth.
