High-calcium vegetables, also known as heart-nourishing grass, is a pollution-free green vegetable, both edible and medicinal, with high nutritional value. Today, let's take a brief look at the time and method of growing high-calcium vegetables.

Planting time of high-calcium vegetables

High calcium vegetables have strong adaptability, do not require soil and climate, and can be planted all the year round. Overwintering buds can continue to grow when the ground temperature exceeds 0 ℃.

2. Planting methods of high-calcium vegetables

1, soil: select sandy soil, in the selected land, deep ploughing fine rake, leveling, to make 2 meters wide border surface, the middle of the furrow, ditch width of 30 cm × 30 cm. Sprinkle organic fertilizer and compound fertilizer.

2. Modes of reproduction: high-calcium vegetables have the following three modes of reproduction:

⑴ seed propagation: in September, the mature ear of the seed will be cut back, dried, threshed, put in a cloth bag and set aside in a cool place. In the middle of April, the seeds were sowed on the seedling bed prepared in advance, ditched according to the row spacing of 15 × 20 cm, watered after sowing, and covered with grass to preserve soil moisture. Remove the cover grass when about 10% of the seedlings emerge, and loosen the soil and weed.

⑵ root propagation: dig out the roots in early spring and cut them into several plants according to the number of root buds, each with more than 2 root buds. Then digging holes and planting with water according to the row spacing of 30 × 15 cm, covering the soil and stepping on the soil.

⑶ cuttage propagation: in summer, select sturdy twigs, cut into stem segments 10-15 cm long, insert them on the cutting bed, often water, keep the soil moist, and survive after about 15-20 days.

3. Watering: high calcium vegetables should be watered properly after planting, dry and thoroughly at one time. Pay attention to drainage in the rainy season.

4. Fertilization: the base fertilizer should be applied well before planting, and less and frequently should be applied after planting, that is, the amount of topdressing should be less and the times of topdressing should be frequent. Generally speaking, fertilizer is applied once a month, and it is best to use special organic granular fertilizer for flowers. Fertilizer should be applied once after each harvest of young stems and leaves to promote branching and increase the yield of high-calcium vegetables.

5. Weeding in middle ploughing: weeding should be done several times a year, and weeding at seedling stage requires weeding. Every year, we should concentrate on loosening the soil and weeding before overwintering, before turning green in early spring and after each cutting.

The cultivation of high-calcium vegetables is relatively simple, can be harvested many times a year, fewer diseases and insect pests in the growth process, and is rich in a variety of substances needed by the human body. Interested friends can plant or cook their own food.
