Usually eat grapes, occasionally found on a hanging grape will be a few smaller, light color, fruit more hard grapes, eat up sour and astringent. These grapes are the so-called stiff fruit, which generally has no edible value, so what is the reason for the grape fruit?

First, the cause of grape fruit

1. Environmental factors: low flowering temperature, lack of light, poor pollination and insemination will cause stiff fruit.

2. Management factors: improper fertilization leads to lack of zinc, potassium and other elements in grapes, and improper use of plant growth regulators will also lead to stiff fruits.

3. Disease factors: the phenomenon of stiff fruit will appear in grapes infected with black pox, gas burn, Pierce disease and so on.

4. Other factors: European and American hybrid varieties are more likely to produce stiff fruit than Eurasian varieties.

Second, how to prevent and cure grape fruit?

1. It is necessary to do a good job in field management, pay attention to heat preservation during the flowering period of grapes, ensure sufficient light, and water reasonably at the same time. Generally, watering should be carried out in the morning and after 6 o'clock in the afternoon. Drip irrigation is a better method.

Appropriate amount of water can also be irrigated during flowering drought to ensure pollination and fertilization of grapes.

2. It is necessary to apply fertilizer scientifically. If there is a phenomenon of stiff fruit in grapes, trace element fertilizers such as boron, iron, zinc and magnesium should be supplemented in time. At the same time, attention should be paid to pruning dense branches, slender branches, disease and insect branches and so on.

3. In order to avoid grape diseases and insect pests, the grapes can be sprayed with fungicide after fruit thinning and bagged, which can effectively prevent diseases and insect pests.

When choosing paper bags for bagging, you should also choose according to grape varieties and local climate. If the light is relatively strong, it is best to choose a weaker light transmittance to avoid burns.
