So, what kind of grass does atrazine kill? What kind of grass should atrazine kill? It has a wide herbicide spectrum and can control many kinds of annual grasses.

Atrazine is a selective pre-emergence and post-emergence closed herbicide, which is mainly absorbed by the roots of the grass and can reach deeper soil layers after rain. So what does atrazine kill?

What grass does atrazine kill?

It has a wide weed control spectrum and can control a variety of annual grasses and broadleaf weeds. Apply to corn, sorghum, sugarcane, fruit trees, nurseries, woodland and other dry crops, control crabgrass, barnyardgrass, Setaria, Cyperus, Alopecurus, Polygonum, Chenopodium, Cruciferae, leguminous weeds, some perennial weeds also have a certain inhibitory effect.

II. Use of atrazine

1. corn field

Summer corn is applied after sowing and before emergence. In North China, Shandong and other places where the soil organic matter content is 1%-2%, 150- 200g of 50% wettable powder or 175- 200ml of 40% suspending agent is applied per mu; in Northeast China where the soil organic matter content is more than 3%-6%, 200- 250g of 50% wettable powder or 200- 250g of 40% suspending agent is applied per mu. The lower limit is used for sandy soil and the upper limit is used for clay soil. 1-3 days after sowing, spray 30 kg of water evenly on the soil surface. After corn emergence, the suitable period is corn 4 leaf stage, weed 2-3 leaf stage; sandy soil with low organic matter content, 50% WP or 40% SC 200- 250g per mu. Spray 30-50 kg of water. Spring corn is sprayed with 40% suspension agent 200- 250ml per mu, added with water 30- 50kg, sprayed on the soil surface before seedling after sowing, mixed with soil after spring drought treatment, or irrigated with appropriate amount. or stem and leaf treatment at the 4-leaf stage of maize. In order to reduce or eliminate the toxicity of atrazine to wheat in continuous cropping area of maize and winter wheat, atrazine reduction can be mixed with herbicides such as azulfan, lasso, dur, 2,4-D butyl ester, pandinone and chlortoluron.

2. sugar cane fields

5-7 days after sugarcane planting, weeds are partially unearthed, 50% wettable powder or 40% suspension agent 200- 250g is used per mu, 30kg of water is added, and the ground surface is evenly sprayed.

3. Tea plantations, orchards, vineyards

4-5 in that peak germination period of weed in the field in September, the big grass which have been unearthed and the overwintering miscellaneous grass are firstly uprooted, and then 250- 300g of 40% suspension agent is uniformly spray on the soil surface to 40kg of water per mu.

Atrazine is a herbicide for pre-emergence soil treatment and post-emergence stem and leaf treatment, but it is easy to produce phytotoxicity. Drought has a great influence on the efficacy, mainly acting on dicotyledonous plants, focusing on closure, and the effect on large grass is not ideal. Therefore, everyone should use it according to the actual situation.
