3. Transplanting water and fertilizer

Weed 2-3 times at seedling stage to speed up basil root growth, and sprinkle seeds with thin human and animal manure after each intertillage. Seedlings are afraid of dry weather when growing, so water management of seedlings should be done well, and proper amount of water should be poured regularly.

Attention should be paid to aphids, Japanese beetles, thrips, leaf miners, snails, fungal wilt and other diseases and insect pests to do a good job of prevention in advance, reasonable spraying of pesticides.

Basil stems and leaves are generally harvested in July and August, and growers must harvest them in a timely manner. After harvest, fertilizer and water management should be done to promote the germination of new leaves.
