Imperial chrysanthemum is a common flower in China, which can not only be used as medicine, but also make tea, so it is of high edible value and is being planted in many areas.

1. Land selection and preparation

The imperial chrysanthemum does not have high requirements for soil, and the neutral sandy soil rich in humus is the best. Then turn the soil 25cm or so, and apply rotten farm fertilizer 2000kg, calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer 50kg per mu, turn the fertilizer into the soil as base fertilizer. Rake the soil to make a border, the width of the border is 90cm, the width of the ditch is 30cm, and the depth of the ditch is 30cm. After leveling the ground, cover the border with black plastic film to ensure that there is no water in the film. While applying base fertilizer, 3% phoxim granule 1.5kg and 50% carbendazim wettable powder 0.5kg per mu can prevent root rot, stem rot, leaf blight, gray spot, grub, ground tiger and other diseases and insect pests.

2. Planting

(1) split propagation: after the chrysanthemum was harvested in November, the aboveground part of the chrysanthemum was cut off. Apply a layer of soil and miscellaneous fertilizer in the chrysanthemum plot to keep warm and survive the winter. In April of the following year, when the chrysanthemum seedlings reached 15cm height, the plants were planted in the field.

(2) Cuttage propagation: the seedlings are generally raised from the middle of February to the end of March, and the seedling age is about 1 month.

3. Transplanting

The cuttings were transplanted from mid-March to late April, and the seedlings were transplanted in April, with about 2000 seedlings per mu and no more than 2400 seedlings per mu. One or two days before seedling emergence, 50% carbendazim wettable powder 800 times solution was sprayed to sterilize the seedlings. Transplant in the evening of cloudy or sunny day, 2 rows in each row, plant and row spacing are 50cm, planting hole is deep 6cm. The seedlings with well-developed roots were selected for planting, 1 plant per hole for cutting seedlings and 2 seedlings per hole for ramet seedlings. After planting, cover the soil tightly and pour enough water to fix the root; those who are covered with plastic film should use the soil to seal the transplanting hole strictly and can not be ventilated. If the seedlings are larger, the terminal buds can be removed to reduce nutrient consumption and improve the survival rate of transplanting.

4. Field management technology

The main results are as follows: (1) Intertillage weeding: the weeding of imperial chrysanthemum planted in open field is generally carried out five times a year during the growing period, once from May to September, according to the weed control principle of "weeding early and small" to avoid weeds affecting the growth of imperial chrysanthemum plants. When weeding, shallow ploughing should be done to avoid damage to the root system. If the root system is exposed, the soil should be cultivated in time to prevent lodging. In the field covered with plastic film and transplanting royal chrysanthemum, the weeds should be removed, the weeds in the ditch should be cleared with herbicides, and the weather forecast should be paid attention to to ensure that there will be no rain within 3 days after applying herbicides.

(2) Water management: emperor chrysanthemum avoid stagnant water, if Rain Water forms too much stagnant water in summer, it is easy to rot and die. Therefore, drainage management should be strengthened and carefully checked before and after every rain to ensure smooth drainage. It should be watered in time in case of drought at flowering stage.

(3) timely topdressing: Huangju likes fertilizer, in the case of sufficient base fertilizer, topdressing should be carried out according to different growth periods. Planting in the open field, the first topdressing was carried out after plant pruning, human and animal manure water 1500kg or 45% potassium sulfate compound fertilizer 25kg was applied per mu, and 0.2%-0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution was sprayed on the leaves during the bud period. For the chrysanthemum field with sufficient basal fertilizer and plastic film mulching, branching fertilizer may not be applied, but if there is a lack of fertilizer in the later growth stage, compound fertilizer 25kg should be applied per mu in the furrow and furrow in mid-late August. Emperor chrysanthemum should apply less nitrogen fertilizer, otherwise the rate of dried flowers is low and the quality of chrysanthemum is poor.

(4) cutting seedlings: in the middle and last ten days of May, the seedlings were cut once in sunny or cloudy days, and the high 2~3cm seedlings were kept from the ground. In the future, 3 or 5 strong branches will be retained and the other weak branches will be erased, which will help to ensure the flowering time and the quality of chrysanthemum.

(5) erection: after cutting seedlings, the plants have many branches, have a large number of flowers, and the flowers are concentrated on the top of the plant, so the plant is easy to lodge in rainy weather, so it is necessary to build a support on the border to prevent lodging.

5. Harvest

The flowering time of imperial chrysanthemum is longer, but the time of picking flowers is more concentrated, mainly in the first ten days of November. When the flowers bloom 3 times and 4 times, choose the dew in the sunny morning to dry and harvest them. It should be processed in time after harvest to prevent flowers from rotting and discoloring.

Generally speaking, the royal chrysanthemum is still very good species, can be planted by ramet and cutting, and after planting, as long as do a good job of water and fertilizer, pest control and other work.
