When it comes to night orchids, some people may immediately think of night incense. In fact, these are two different kinds of flowers. As its name implies, night orchids are a plant that blooms at night. Orchids can not only be used as potted plants to beautify the environment indoors, but also can be eaten. So what is the method of growing night orchids?

1. Site selection

The place where the orchid is placed is also very important, it will directly affect the growth and development of the orchid. Most orchids are placed in the open field in spring, summer and autumn, and in the house in cold winter.

2. Lighting conditions

There are four principles for growing orchids, that is, "spring does not come out, summer does not come out, autumn does not dry, winter is not wet." The temperature in spring is not very stable, leaving the house early is easy to be affected by cold weather, and it is safer to leave the house in early April. In summer, orchids should be kept in the shade to avoid direct sunlight and supported by scattered light. In autumn, when the orchid sprouts and is pulled out, the pot soil should maintain the corresponding humidity to avoid being too dry.

3. Fertilization method

In the growing season of orchids, water with decomposed bean cake and horseshoe sauce is watered every half a month. If you apply an appropriate amount of potassium dihydrogen phosphate, the effect is better, do not apply fertilizer in summer. When the temperature is too high, spray it many times in addition to daily watering, preferably with slightly acidic water. Spraying leaves with water regularly can not only improve the growing environment, but also keep the leaves clean and reduce the chance of infection.

4. Watering method

The roots of orchids are fleshy. In winter, dormancy requires not much water, the soil in the basin is wet, do not use too much water to avoid root and leaf diseases. Hua Yan said: "dry orchid wet chrysanthemum", which has a certain degree of truth. Generally speaking, orchids are best dried within 8 minutes. When the leaf buds of orchids elongate about 1.5 cm from June to July, 1-2 times of thin decomposition liquid fertilizer can be applied, which is not suitable for use here.
