When is the flowering time of Canna?

Canna is a very beautiful ornamental flower. Its flowers are bright, colorful and large. They are often planted in courtyards and flower beds. How long is the florescence of such a beautiful canna?

First, the florescence of banana

The flowering period of canna is longer, from March to December. It is mainly concentrated in summer and autumn. The warm regions of the south can blossom all the year round, while the north can blossom from June to October.

II. Conservation of canna

1. Lighting: canna likes sunshine. In the process of conservation, bananas should be planted in sunny environments. Be sure to receive at least 5 hours of direct sunlight every day. The environment is too dark and lack of light, which will delay the flowering period.

2. Temperature: the suitable growth temperature of canna is between 15-30 ℃. Keep the appropriate temperature before flowering, but in order to prolong the flowering period, it can be maintained in a cool place with low temperature and no strong light, and the ambient temperature should not be lower than 10 ℃. This can effectively prolong the florescence.

3. Water and fertilizer management: during the growth of canna, water should be sprayed on the leaves 1-2 times a day to maintain humidity. Adequate basal fertilizer should be applied before planting, and topdressing should be applied 3-4 times a month during the vigorous growth period.

4. Pruning in time: canna will begin to wither in November, when the aboveground stems and leaves can be removed, then the roots can be dug out and dried in a cool and ventilated place for 2-3 days, and then placed in about 5 ℃ of semi-dry sand. Wait until the temperature rises in the following spring before planting, which can effectively prolong the flowering period and make the canna bloom continuously.

Banana blossoms for a long time, mainly to create a warm environment for it. In winter in the north, if you want the canna to bloom, you should move into the warm room when October comes.
