1. Seed collection

The fruit is usually ripe in autumn and winter, and the fruit can be picked in November and December. Peel off the fruit, take out the seeds and put them in a cool, dry place to dry naturally. The temperature in this season is too low for seed development and can be stored in a dry container and planted after the temperature rises the following spring.

2. Sowing method

1. Select a piece of sparse and breathable sandy soil and make it into a seedbed by turning and trimming. The big stones and impurities in the soil should be removed to keep the soil surface flat.

2. If the seed is sown or striped at a suitable distance, the line spacing can be expanded a little. After spraying water, cover with a thin layer of charred soil, not too thick, can not see the seeds. Cover with straw mats to reduce moisture and temperature loss.

3. About ten days after planting, the seeds sprout new buds and sprout out of the soil. At this time, the straw mats should be removed in time and the buds should be carefully cultivated.

III. Post-management

1. Intermediate seedlings

The buds develop into seedlings, which can be interspersed when there are four leaves in the seedlings. It is best to operate at noon after a rain, when the soil is soft and easy to operate, just pull it out. Get rid of the seedlings that are too dense and do not grow well.

2. Topdressing

Seedling stage is still relatively fragile, need more nutrition, pay attention to remove weeds in the field to avoid competing for nutrients.

During the rapid period of formal growth in summer, you can top fertilize two or three times in June and July to provide nutrition.

3. Moisture

Usually the soil surface will be given water when it is dry, and the evaporation in summer is too strong, so it is necessary to irrigate with flood to prevent drought and withering seedlings. It will grow to half a meter tall by the end of the year. When the nutrition is in place, you can still see the flowers bloom, but the flowers can't be left behind. They should be trimmed off to make more flowers grow next year.
