First, sprout

Soak the gourd seeds in warm water for about 20 minutes, then wrap them in toilet paper or gauze and put them in a small bowl, put them on the balcony or other warm place, sprinkle some water every day to keep the seeds moist, and they will germinate in about a week.

Second, basin soil

The gourd needs to use a deeper flowerpot, the size of the flowerpot should be moderate. Choose fertile soil before potting, use loose acid soil, mixed with soil fertilizer, alkali soil and consolidated soil are not available. The soil should be ventilated and well drained. Personally, it is recommended to mix the general soil with seedling soil, according to the proportion of 1:5 or 2:5. Or directly use peat soil, the effect is better.

First pour the basin soil thoroughly with water, then dig a small hole of three or four centimeters on the surface, put the budding seeds down, then gently cover the soil, and sprinkle a little water on it, and basically sprouts will come a week later.

III. Water and fertilizer management

If there is no fertilizer in the cultivated soil, a pot should be mixed with about 50 grams of water-soluble fertilizer or 100 grams of organic fertilizer as base fertilizer. Potted gourds are very easy to dry and should be watered once a day when the vines begin to spread. In the hot summer season, water should be watered twice a day. During the growing period, fermented sesame sauce residue and bean cake are better, which can be diluted and watered at the same time. Phosphorus and potassium fertilizer should be applied at budding stage to improve fruit setting rate and fruit quality. The optimum temperature for gourd growth is about 30 ℃. I like more sunshine, so bask in the sun as much as possible.

Fourth, set up a fight

Support four pillars on the flowerpot to make it fixed, 50 inches higher than the surface of the flowerpot, and make a 90-degree grid scaffolding. 5. Pollination

Potted gourd due to a small number, few bee sources, florescence is difficult to meet, must be artificial pollination. The gourd blossoms every evening, and the best pollination period is before 10:00 the next morning. When pollinating, use dry towels and small cotton balls to take pollen from male flowers and quickly receive them into the pistil without delay. In case of rainy days, the male and female flowers should be covered with plastic bags in advance so as not to get caught in the rain.
