The green apple flower refers to the green apple bamboo taro, which is an evergreen herb of the bamboo taro family for many years. It has round leaves, plump leaves, green leaves, neat leaf stripes and high ornamental value. Many people want to raise a pot. The following is to introduce the cultivation methods of green apple flowers.

1. Soil

Green apple bamboo taro can be cultured with acid decaying leaf soil or peat soil with loose and fertile, good drainage and rich organic matter, and can be mixed with humus soil, compost and 1/3 river sand or sawdust.

2. Temperature

Green apple and bamboo taro like warm environment, afraid of high temperature, cold, not resistant to extreme heat, and the suitable temperature for growth is 18 ℃ to 30 ℃. When the temperature is more than 25 ℃ in late spring and early summer, it is necessary to build a shed to shade; the temperature in winter should not be lower than 10 ℃, if it is lower than 5 ℃, the plant will suffer frost damage, so pay attention to heat preservation.

3. Lighting

Green apple bamboo taro likes a semi-overcast environment and avoids strong light exposure. From the mid-spring to the Mid-Autumn Festival, it is required to build a shed to cover the shade, and the rest of the time can be placed in a place where there is enough scattered light. The light should not be too strong to prevent the leaves from being burned, but they should not be too weak, lest the leaves become thin and dull.

4. Watering

Green apple bamboo taro likes a humid environment. In addition to watering water once a day during the growing season, it should also spray the leaves and the surrounding environment to keep the air relative humidity above 85% to 90%. Watering should be strictly controlled in winter to keep the basin soil slightly dry to avoid stagnant water leading to rotting roots; when new leaves germinate, they should not be watered too much, and the amount of water should be gradually increased with the increase of new leaves.

5. Fertilization

During the growth period, green apple bamboo taro can be irrigated with dilute organic fertilizer once a week. When the temperature is higher than 32 ℃ in summer and lower than 18 ℃ in late autumn and early winter, fertilizer application should be stopped to avoid fertilizer damage.

6. Disease and pest control

The common diseases of green apple bamboo taro are leaf spot and rust, which can be sprayed with Bordeaux solution of 0.5 _ (0.5) _ 0.5 _ (100) or 800-fold solution of 50% carbendazim wettable powder, once every 10 days, 2 to 3 times continuously. Insect pests include scale insects, whitefly, red spiders, scale insects and whitefly can be sprayed with 2000 times of 25% prolactin wettable powder when nymphs hatch, and red spiders can be sprayed with 2000 times of 25% Baileba wettable powder.
