1. Soil

Lover tears do not choose soil, but it is appropriate to use sandy loam with loose soil and good drainage and permeability. Rotten leaf soil or peat soil, garden soil and river sand can be mixed with a small amount of base fertilizer as culture soil, or garden soil or pond mud 60%, sand 10%, bran ash 30%.

2. Temperature

Valentine's tears like warm environment, high temperature, cold tolerance, the suitable temperature for growth is about 20 ℃-28 ℃, high and low temperature plants grow slowly, especially when the temperature is above 30 ℃, the plants will dormancy.

3. Lighting

Lover tears like semi-overcast environment, light requirements are not strict, generally suitable for growth under medium light conditions. If the light is too strong or insufficient, the leaves are easy to turn light green or yellowish green, lack of vitality, or even die; if the sun is in direct light, it is easy to cause plant scorch.

4. Watering

The leaves of lover's tears are fleshy and succulent, so they are drought-tolerant, but they require more water during the peak growth period from March to September, so they should be watered and sprayed frequently to increase humidity, and gradually reduce the amount of water after autumn to improve the cold resistance of the plant. Watering should be dry rather than wet, and water can be sprayed on leaves and vines when the weather is dry.

5. Fertilization

The fertilization for the vigorous growth of lover's tears should be "thin fertilizer and frequently applied". The thin liquid fertilizer should be applied twice a month, and the fertilizer is mainly nitrogen fertilizer. 1-3 ‰ nitrogen fertilizer and potassium dihydrogen phosphate can be often sprayed on the leaf surface, which is beneficial to make the pearl more green and fat.

6. Diseases and insect pests

Lover tears are not easy to occur diseases and insect pests, if the basin soil stagnant water and poor ventilation, root rot may occur, timely spray prevention and control. And aphids in spring and mites in summer and autumn also occur. They can be sprayed with 1500 times omethoate to kill aphids and 1000 times dicofol to kill them.
