Straw mushrooms get their name because they often grow in damp, dark straw. It is mainly produced in Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian and other places, also known as orchid mushrooms, delicious mushrooms. What are the key points of the new summer cultivation method of volvariella volvacea?

First, prepare mushroom beds

The width of the mushroom bed can be 1 meter and the length can be adjusted by itself. Mushroom beds are generally 30 centimeters apart, which can be used not only for water storage, but also for sidewalks. Dig mushroom bed on the border, horizontal, sunken type, 20 cm deep and 30 cm wide. Insecticide should be sprayed on the mushroom bed, usually 0.2% dichlorvos and 0.1% carbendazim. There should be 20 centimeters of soil ridges between the mushroom beds. Mushroom beds should be set in a greenhouse that keeps moisture and heat preservation.

2. Treatment of straw

First cut the prepared straw or wheat straw into 3 cm long segments, then soak them in 2% lime water and 5% compound fertilizer for 24 hours, place them in a clean place and drain the excess water.

III. Selection of bacteria

In the process of cultivating volvariella volvacea, the selection of strain is very important. To choose a suitable strain, it depends on three elements: the first is to choose a well-developed mycelium; the second is to have a brownish-red Houhuanzi; the third is best not to exceed 18 days of age. The quality of the strain will directly affect the survival rate of volvariella volvacea.

4. Cultivation methods

First, spread the cut straw or wheat straw evenly in the dug mushroom bed, then spread a layer of grass, then spread a layer of wheat bran, and finally cover the fungus. Their dosage is: the amount of wheat bran is 5% of the total hay, the amount of bacteria is 10%, and the top strain is slightly more. When finished, sprinkle the soil on the ridge on the fabric, which is about 10 to 12 centimeters high, and press them tightly with a plank.

After the culture material is ready, a small arch shed is set up along the length of the mushroom bed. The height of the arch shed is about 50 cm, covered with thin film for heat preservation. The water storage ditch in the border is filled with water, and the relative humidity of the air in the greenhouse is not less than 80%, and the temperature is not less than 28 degrees Celsius. After 48 hours, the film on the small arch shed can be opened for ventilation.

5. Management of mushroom production

Volvariella volvacea usually takes about 10 days from sowing to the appearance of mushroom buds, and it can be used only after 3-4 days after it is found that volvariella volvacea appears buds. Be careful not to damage the straw mushrooms next to you when picking, so as not to cause unnecessary losses.

VI. Management after mushroom picking

Straw mushroom can continue to produce mushrooms after picking mushrooms. But after picking mushrooms can no longer spray water, to cover with film, usually for 2 days. This can promote the growth of mycelium, and mushroom production management should be carried out in the later stage. Spray 0.1% urea solution before mushroom emergence, which is beneficial to the growth of straw mushroom.

Straw mushroom is nutritious and delicious. It is a kind of high-quality edible mushroom and is deeply loved by consumers. If vegetable farmers want to cultivate high-quality and high-yield straw mushrooms, they need to have a detailed understanding of the above knowledge.
