How many times a year do roses bloom?

Perfume roses bloom once a year, but if they are raised well, they can blossom twice. The flowering period is generally from May to June, and the specific flowering time is related to its planting time.

II. Propagation methods of perfume roses

1. Sowing seeds

The seeds harvested in autumn are generally used to cultivate new varieties. The seeds harvested in autumn are put into plastic bags filled with moist sand and placed in the environment of night freezing and day thawing. After about a month, the seeds are gradually heated to about 20 ℃. After the seeds germinate, the seeds can be sowed (or stored in sand to sow in the spring of the following year) and planted when the seedlings grow 3-5 leaflets.

two。 Cuttage

Softwood cuttings with heel: that is, the newly germinated branches are selected in early spring, cut with a sharp knife in the stem with a little wood, and then treated with growth hormone and inserted into the cutting bed or small basin.

Semi-woody branch cutting: this method is from June to September, select the first withered branches of rose flowers, cut off the flower stalk, flatten its lower part, take 2-3 segments as a section, cut off the lower leaf, and then cut off the unhealthy and tender leaves. After being treated with growth-stimulating hormone, it is inserted into the bed under the same conditions as the previous method.

Hardwood cutting: cut one-year-old full branches before overwintering, 2-3 nodes into a segment, every 10 branches into a bundle, dig a 30cm hole in the low-temperature greenhouse to bury the cuttings inverted in the wet sand, the top soil cover 5-10cm (to keep dry), the following early spring, the cuttings will be inserted into the cuttings bed.

Hardwood water insertion method: select semi-woody branches or hard branches with 1-2 leaves, flatten the base with a sharp knife, insert them into a water container, immerse the branches in water and put them in a place where 15 ℃-20 ℃ can see the sun, so that they can grow roots. During the root promotion period, the water in the container should be changed every 2-3 days, and when the epidermis of the new root on the branch becomes light yellow or light brown, it can be carefully planted in a nutrition bag for culture.

3. Grafting

Bud grafting method: every 5-9 days, select full bud eyes on the improved seed mother plant, take 1-2 buds on the white jade tang or rose rootstock, or take a bud every 8-10 cm on a long branch of the rootstock. Cut its branches with live buds and insert them into a sand bed or container as in the general cutting method.

Branch grafting method: every spring, cutting, tongue grafting and abdominal grafting can be used to connect the branches of improved varieties on the rootstocks of Rosa and Bai Yutang.

Root grafting: during the dormant period of winter and spring roses, the scion is tied to a root of rose or white jade tang indoors, and then it is planted at the bottom in a medium-temperature greenhouse to keep moist, and then put on the basin or planted after the interface is healed.

4. Pressing strip

Ground striping method: during the rose growing period, the rose branches are cut under the buds, curved and buried in the moist soil, and the first part of the branches protrude from the soil. When the engraved roots buried in the soil grow, they can be cut and planted.

Air striping method: on the rose branch, choose a suitable part, cut the branch or peel the epidermis 1-1.5 cm, wrap a 6-8 cm diameter soil ball with bamboo tube or plastic sheet at the peeling place, often keep moist, after about 1 month, the wound grows new roots, cut off, planted in the seedling bed or flowerpot.

5. Ramet

In general, roses can be properly deeply planted or roots can be cultivated to make each branch stem grow new roots. Combined with changing pots, the lateral branches with new roots can be cut open to form a new plant.

Roses are better farmed flowers, with a higher ornamental value, potted at home one or two roses, can not only add a little color to the home, but also make the whole house aroma overflowing.
