The activity shows that the large area yield of Zhongmai 578 is close to that of high yield varieties in local practice and harvest activities.

Recently, in order to further confirm the yield performance of "Zhongmai 578", Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu, Hebei, Shandong and other provinces have held "Zhongmai 578" actual harvest activities one after another. The activity shows that the large area yield of "Zhongmai 578" is close to that of high-yield varieties in local actual harvest activities, and the characteristics of high quality, strong gluten, high and stable yield meet the needs of the industry, and are widely recognized by the market and enterprises.

Among them, the average yield per mu in Qinyang City, Jiaozuo area, Henan Province is 730.1 kg, and the average yield per mu in Yingshang County, Fuyang City, Anhui Province and Zhangqiu District, Jinan City, Shandong Province is 745.6 kg and 718.5 kg, respectively. The average yield per mu planted by the Jinshahe crop planting Professional Cooperative in Xingtai City, Hebei Province is 600.1 kg per mu, which is the same as that of the local high-yielding varieties, and the average yield is 9% higher than that of the main high-quality varieties. Relevant companies in Anhui, Shanghai and Hebei respectively signed agreements on the purchase intention of "Zhongmai 578" high-quality wheat.

"Zhonmai 578" was selected by the Institute of crop Science and Cotton Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 20 years. It has passed the variety approval of Henan Province, and is participating in the production test of the southern part of Huang-Huai and the second year regional test of the north of Huang-Huai. It is expected to pass the national examination and approval of the corresponding regions by the end of 2019 and 2020, respectively. According to multi-point experiments and large-scale demonstration for many years, this variety has outstanding characteristics, such as high yield, early maturity and lodging resistance, wide adaptability to disease resistance and stress resistance, high quality, strong gluten and stable quality. In the regional trial, the average yield was about 3% higher than that of the control, and the yield of the large-scale demonstration was the same as that of "Zhoumai 18" and "Jimai 22". It matures 2 days earlier than the control, which lays the foundation for early sowing and is conducive to a bumper harvest throughout the year, and is resistant to lodging. The perennial 1000-grain weight is more than 50 grams, and the appearance is good. It is also resistant to stripe rust, leaf rust and powdery mildew, moderate to mild scab, more resistant to panicle sprouting, fast filling rate, high temperature resistance, cold injury in winter and low temperature in spring. The average protein content of the variety is 14.7%, water absorption is 60%, ductility is 163mm, bread volume is 1000 ml, score is 90, and the bread quality reaches the level of imported high quality wheat.
