Orchids have high requirements for the environment, and it is difficult to cultivate them. They often need careful care in order to have a higher survival rate. So how to grow orchid seeds?

1. The habits of orchids: like cool, moist and well-ventilated environment, avoid extreme heat, dryness and direct sunlight. The growing soil of Cymbidium is suitable to be well drained, rich in humus and slightly acidic.

two。 Planting: the germination rate of orchid seeds is very low, it is best to choose uncracked fruits for sowing, sterilize the surface with 75% alcohol, take out the seeds, soak them with 10% sodium hypochlorite for 5-10 minutes, take out and rinse with sterile water for 3 times, sow them in a culture bottle containing culture medium, and then place them in a dark culture room at a temperature of about 25C.

3. Flower room: if orchids are cultivated in flower rooms, the survival rate will be much higher. The flower room should control the properties of the soil, the soil should be acidic, and the temperature should be controlled between 20 and 30 degrees. There is a good ventilation environment, pay attention to control the solar illuminance. And pay attention to disinfestation and other work. There are many contents of this design, consult more skilled workers.

4. Transplanting: first, cut 2-3 cm growth buds from the roots of orchid plants cultivated for 2 or 3 years, rinse them with running water for 20 minutes, remove the outermost 1-2 bracts in a sterile tissue culture room with a temperature of 22-25 ℃, soak them in sodium hypochlorite solution for 15 minutes, and sterilize. Then peel, cut into 2-5 mm stem tip, inoculate on the prepared medium, move to the culture place, 3-4 months later send out rhizomes. When the test-tube plantlets grow to 5-8 cm, they can be transplanted. Remove the seedlings from the bottle, clean the culture medium attached to the roots, then plant them into a mixture of perlite and vermiculite and water them thoroughly. Put it in a cool place. Three months after survival, it was planted in a small basin, and the management method was similar to ramet propagation.

5. Water and fertilizer: in summer, orchids should be watered in the morning and evening to keep their stems and leaves moist and thoroughly watered once a week to ensure root absorption. In addition, it is watered twice a day in spring and once a day in autumn and winter. Orchid fertilization should also be done well, organic fertilizer is fine, but the concentration is not too high.

Orchids are relatively delicate, and the survival rate is relatively low. If inexperienced flower friends do not recommend sowing with seeds, it is best to choose transplanting methods.
