Many people like to plant small plants at home. The beginner bought the seed but didn't know how to start it. How is it better to plant flowers?

How to plant flowers

1. Before planting, the planting soil should be prepared and the basic fertilizer should be applied to lay a good foundation for plant growth in the later stage.

2. Decide whether to accelerate germination according to the condition of the seed. Some seeds have a thick seed coat and need to be soaked in warm water for a period of time, then put into fine sand and sow when it is white.

3. Larger seeds can poke a hole in the planted soil with their fingers, and then put them into the seeds, and small seeds can be sown directly on the soil. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil after they have been planted. Small seeds are fine without covering the soil.

4. When sowing in spring, it can be covered with film to keep warm and moisturizing, but not in summer. Generally, it needs to be sowed in places with sufficient light, but it can be sown in semi-shade or shade in summer, and the sunshade can be removed in time after the seedlings are unearthed.

5. The optimum germination temperature of most seeds is 20-25 ℃. It should be noted that some seeds can only germinate at low temperatures, such as buttercup and delphinium.

6. The temperature of most herbs and seeds sown in autumn and winter should not be higher than 25 ℃, and the temperature of seeds sown in spring and summer should not be lower than 20 ℃. If the temperature can not be reached, use plastic wrap to increase the temperature. The cling film also has the function of moisturizing. In summer, all the seeds should be placed in a cool place to protect them from the rain. In winter, we should pay attention to keeping warm and preventing frost.

7. The seeds do not have roots before they germinate, and they need artificial replenishment of water to maintain life. The soil should be kept moist, but not stagnant water.

Before planting the flower seed, it is necessary to understand the habits of the flower variety before further cultivation can be carried out.
