Balsam pear is a kind of "good medicine bitter mouth" vegetables, although the taste is a bit bitter, but can clear away heat and detoxification, anti-inflammatory fever, promote the effect of diet. Many farmers will plant bitter gourd, so how to plant bitter gourd more results?

1. Seed selection: If you want to plant the same crop, the selection of varieties is absolutely one of the most important conditions. Here, white balsam pear and green balsam pear 915 are recommended. These two varieties have good quality, strong disease resistance and high yield. They are loved by many balsam pear growers.

2. Sowing: If you choose the open field model, you should first cultivate the seedlings in the solar greenhouse. Remember to prepare nutrient soil the day before sowing and load it into the nutrient bowl. The next day, sprinkle the nutrient soil with water again, and then sprinkle a layer of fine soil to sow.

3. Seedling management: After bitter gourd sowing, the greenhouse can be sealed to increase the indoor temperature. The sowing border is inserted into a small arch shed and covered with a thin film to increase temperature and moisture, so that the temperature is protected at 30-35℃ during the day and above 15℃ at night. When 50% seedlings, timely cover the membrane of the small arch shed. After the seedlings emerge, keep the indoor temperature at 20-25℃ during the day and about 10℃ at night. See dry water, take the principle of temperature control without water control, keep seedlings healthy growth. After that, gradually reduce the temperature in the shed, until a few days before planting, all the shed films will be lifted, and seedlings will be refined.

4. Planting: balsam pear is a temperature-tolerant vegetable variety, so be sure to apply sufficient base fertilizer. Generally speaking, 5,000 kg of high-quality organic fertilizer and 30 kg of diammonium phosphate should be applied every 667m2. After mixing evenly, they should be made into flat beds and watered. After the soil is dry and loose, they should be made into small high beds with a width of 80-90 cm and a height of 10-15 cm. Mulch film should be laid 5-7 days before planting. Two rows per row, 60 cm apart, line planting.

5. Field management: balsam pear after slow seedling to remember to irrigate slow seedling water in time, water can not be too much. After balsam pear plants enter the vigorous growth period, it is necessary to judge how to water according to the growth of plants and weather changes. Pay attention to the large amount of fertilizer and water required during the fruiting period.

6. Topdressing: balsam pear fruit rounds, harvest time is long, life consumption of water and fertilizer. Therefore, fertilizer and water management is an important guarantee for high yield. In addition to the application of sufficient base fertilizer, generally in the pumping vine, flowering, fruit when heavy topdressing, seedling topdressing can be less. The first topdressing is about 7 days after planting, 10% concentration of decomposed human manure or 0.5% compound fertilizer water can be applied, and then every 5-7 days, the concentration gradually increases, until the flowering, the concentration of human manure can be increased to about 30%.

During flowering and fruiting period, it is necessary to chase 2-3 times of heavy fertilizer to prolong its harvest period. Generally, at the time of early flowering, 25-30 kg cake fertilizer, 15-20 kg compound fertilizer and 10 kg urea are used per mu, which is applied once in combination with soil cultivation; after the first harvest, 20-25 kg cake fertilizer and 20 kg compound fertilizer are continued to be applied once, and 30%-40% human manure or 10-15 kg compound fertilizer is applied every 1-2 harvests. Topdressing also depends on the weather and leaf color, flexible control, increase or decrease as appropriate.

7. Pest control: due to balsam pear disease resistance is strong less disease, late growth generally occur leaf mold, powdery mildew and so on. Generally, 50% thiophanate-methyl WP 1000 times or 10% triadimefon EC 1500 times solution spray. 20% omethoate 1000 times spray control aphids, parmite 1500-2000 times spray control red spider, camellia mite.

If you want more bitter melon fruit, good varieties and field management are essential, if not these two, then bitter melon results may be less.
