Straw mushroom, also known as orchid mushroom and bract mushroom, originated in Nanhua Temple in Shaoguan, Guangdong Province. It was artificially cultivated in China 300 years ago. Next, I would like to introduce the bag cultivation technique of volvariella volvacea.

Soaking grass and stirring

Cut the straw into 3 sections, which can be cut into about 5 cm if possible, and soak the straw in 5% limewater for 8 hours. Pick up the straw and drain the excess water, then add the auxiliary materials and mix well.

2. Bagging

After fully mixing the material, choose a polyethylene plastic bag, tie one end of the bag with coarse cotton thread and tie it 2 cm away from the mouth of the bag. Put the mixed culture material into a bag and press it while loading. The wet weight of each bag is 2. 5kg.

III. Sterilization and vaccination

Use atmospheric pressure sterilization, install the pot, keep the temperature in the pot at 100 ℃ for about six hours, then cease fire out of the pot and move into the inoculation room. When inoculating, untie the tie rope at one end of the plastic bag, connect the volvariella volvacea strain, and tie the rope again.

IV. Germ management

When the inoculated bacterial bag is moved into the culture room, the stacking height of the bacterial bag should be determined according to the season, the number of layers with high temperature should be less, and the number of layers with low temperature can be increased appropriately. Under suitable conditions, the mycelium can grow in the whole bag in 13 days.

Straw mushroom bag cultivation is not only a relatively new cultivation method, but also a high-yield cultivation method, and its per unit yield is about twice as high as that of traditional grass-stacking cultivation. The biological efficiency can reach 30%, 40%.
