Dolphin flowers, native to South Africa, are perennial herbs with slender stems, like a dolphin playing in mid-air. At present, dolphin flowers are widely cultivated in my home, so how to raise dolphin flowers?

1. Soil

Dolphin flowers are afraid of waterlogging in the choice of soil must not choose clayey soil, to choose good permeability, good drainage soil, such as peat 3 in 1, or with general culture soil mixed with sand, can also increase its air permeability.

2. Moisture

Dolphin flower leaves are fleshy, their water content is relatively high, do not water too frequently, do not put trays at the bottom of the basin to avoid root decay due to lack of oxygen; of course, try not to dry it, if there is no water, its leaves will curl and the plant type is not good. Many flower friends say that this degree is very difficult to master, and that friends remember that it is better to dry than to be waterlogged. Some flower friends abroad have tried it, and the leaves wilted and watered for one day.

Third, lighting

It has been introduced before that dolphin flowers need a certain amount of sunshine, but excessive exposure will cause the leaves to turn yellow and curl, and in severe cases, the leaf edges will scorch. The best way is to put it indoors and let the sun shine through the curtains or plant leaves. Spring and autumn are the main flowering and growing periods, when the sun is softer and can shine directly on the plants. Proper light is beneficial to the compactness of the plant, so that the effect after flowering will be better.

IV. Fertilization

The reason why dolphin flowers are easier to breed is that they don't need to be fertilized. Dolphin flowers do not have high requirements for fertilizer, so just chase some fertilizer for a month and a half. Of course, if you apply slow-release fertilizer in the planting substrate, you can just let it go.

It is easy to cultivate and reproduce, and flowers bloom all the year round if they are cultivated properly. When it blossoms, it is very interesting and spectacular! Interested friends can try breeding.
