What is the planting method of begonia?

First, basin soil

Begonia basin soil is best prepared by the mixture of river sand, rotten leaf soil and serpent sawdust. The basin soil is mixed with humus soil rice bran ash and garden soil, and appropriate amount of barnyard manure, bone powder or superphosphate is added.

Second, temperature

In the midsummer high temperature season, measures to avoid strong direct light and cool down should be taken to create a small environment below 30 ℃. As long as the winter temperature is kept above 10 ℃, it can survive the winter safely.

Third, watering

Begonia likes the humid environment, and it is advisable to slightly moist the basin soil in the hot summer. Do not water the basin soil several times a day or once a few days. Pay attention to observe the dry and wet condition of the basin soil at any time. When you see the basin soil whitening, you can water it.

Fourth, lighting

Begonia likes mild climate and humid environment. It needs shade and cool places in high temperature, sufficient light in low temperature in winter, direct sunlight in early spring, and proper shade with the increase of sunshine.

5. Fertilization

Begonia is applied dilute liquid fertilizer every 10 days in the growing season, and less or no fertilizer is applied in summer and winter when the growth is slow, so as to avoid rot due to tender stems and leaves and weakening heat and cold resistance.

VI. Pest control

Common diseases include leaf spot and bacterial diseases, which should be controlled by topiramate, chlorothalonil and Jinggangmycin. Pests are mainly pests that harm leaves and stems, such as slugs, thrips, leaf miners and so on.

7. Trimming

Begonia, like jasmine, rose and other flowers, must be pruned and heart-picked in time after fade, in order to promote more branches and more flowering, otherwise the plant is easy to grow long and thin, the plant shape is not very beautiful, and the flowering is less.
