Cherry is a common fruit in daily life, which is deeply loved by people because of its high nutritional value. at present, it is being planted in many areas, and if you want to plant a good cherry tree, you must master the propagation methods. What are the propagation methods of cherry cuttings?

1. Cutting time: Cherry is generally cut in spring, and the temperature will slowly rise at this time, which is more beneficial to its growth. If the summer temperature is too high, it is easy to breed bacteria and affect the growth of roots. Autumn and winter is easy to frostbite plants, reducing its survival rate.

2. Cuttage treatment: choose a cherry tree with strong growth and no diseases and insect pests. Cut a woody branch from the top, about 15 centimeters long. Remove the leaves from the base of the branch and keep only 3-5 pieces above. The incision should be cut into an inclined plane to increase the contact area with the soil, which is more conducive to rooting.

3. Cuttage: soak the bottom of the branch in the rooting powder solution before preparing the cuttage. After 30 minutes, take it out and wash it with clean water. Put it in a cool place to dry. Insert the dried branches into the plain sand at a depth of about 10 centimeters, then pour water thoroughly.

4. Follow-up maintenance: the management after cutting should maintain soil moisture and avoid sun exposure. After the cuttings survive, adequate irrigation should be carried out, and the moisture in the soil should be ensured by loosening the soil and other means. About 3 weeks after the cuttings survived, topdressing can be carried out, and the amount of topdressing can be increased or decreased according to the previous amount of fertilizer application.

Generally speaking, cherries are good for cutting, as long as they are cut off, planted in peat soil or vermiculite to take root, and finally transplanted to the field.
